4 out of 5 eggsBest Built Fan Controller for the price

Pros: Good build quality: Every inch of this controller is has a quality feel and there's a good heft. It feels great flicking each switch.

Informative LEDS: An led will light either blue or red, depending on low or high power.

Looks great!: The military style knobs and overall design enhances any cases looks.

Cons: Bright LEDS: The red is tolerable, but the blue completely illuminates a room. So bright that other leds pale in comparison.

Faulty Fan Cord: One of the fan power cords was defective. Good thing, I only need four at the moment.

Other Thoughts: Besides the faulty cable I received, I'm very satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome fan controller

Pros: sturdy metal construction. Good finish. solid switches. Relatively easy to install.

Cons: no medium setting for fans. cheap packaging. No instructions included with packaging (it's not rocket science, though).

Other Thoughts: It's definitely a quality product for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best fan controller I've ever encountered.

Pros: The best build quality I've encountered in a fan controller.

Perfectly machined aluminum with flawless anodizing, and a beautifully made PCB (no sloppy solder or rough edges). The switches are solid, and the LEDs brilliant without being annoyingly bright. Includes two sets of hardware; one set of phillips head machine screws, and one set of hex head machine screws - this allows you to choose your preference. It also includes five 12" fan extensions with quality black connectors and black sleeves (easily a $10+ value), and a 6" Molex 4-pin extension cable.

I have to stress this, before you read the "cons" section, I have not found a single fan controller that matches the quality of this unit, other than the Laptron "Hummer" which is very similar in design and almost as nice.

Cons: This is nit picking really, but it's worthy of mention.

The biggest issue I have with this unit is that it leaves a small (1/4") gap above the bay where it's installed in my Corsair Vengeance C70 mid-tower case. The face has rounded edges which leave a small gap at each corner, too. Most people don't notice it until I tell them, but I know it's there draws my eye right to it every time.

My second concern was the poor quality of the included Molex 4-pin extension cable. What a piece of junk! After seeing the nice fan extensions, I assumed it would be of similar quality, and was truly disappointed. The contacts in the connectors were misshapen and installed cockeyed. The male connector was so out of spec that it would have taken a mallet to install it in the fan controller slot, and the female connector was ever so slightly off, making it difficult to insert the lead from the motherboard. Needless to say I did not use it.

Other Thoughts: Again, fantastic product. I selected this model after looking at at two dozen different models in person (potentiometer style, touchscreen style, etc) and this was by and far the best quality of construction.

I use this unit to power several fans; a 120mm high static pressure push/pull system on my hardrive cage, two 140mm intake fans on the side of my case, and a 120mm intake of the front of my case. This system appeals to me as they all run quietly on "low" power settings, but move a lot of air on "high" settings when I'm gaming.

Believe me, these switches and this casing will outlive any plastic shell, touch screen or potentiometer on another model.

5 out of 5 eggsGreet fan controller

Pros: This thing is absolutely well-built. The switches are solid. The red and blue led is a nice touch to let you know what setting you have on. It also comes with a 4-pin molex extension cable and 5 3-pin extension cables so it easier for all your case fans to connect.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: I am using this product with the Corsair 350D case and I was only able to screw it on one side. The other side of the 5 1/4" bay blocks where the screw would be due to the tool-less mechanism. Not a major deal but I would like to point that out.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat controller

Pros: This is a great controller and I'm pretty impressed with the easy install and hook up, the extenders that came with it were a great help, Made out of real metal. Really can't beat that this thing is not going to break easily.

Cons: Screws, they were annoying to use and were a hex bit not basic Phillips.
LEDs change with speed, kinda a Pro and a con in one. (see Other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: The lights change low is blue and high is red kinda wish I could have chosen cause my case lighting is all red and the blue is really bright. tho kinda nice cause at a glance you know your settings. Also just to let you know the switches are at the top is low, middle off, and bottom high just in case you are wondering. Also I run 90 CFM fans in mine and at low speeds the leds are noticeably darker, expected that but someone said they saw no change in light brightness. Over all when you are showing off your rig it works out, got the fans on high with red LEDs and fan LEDs are working at full brightness. Also kinda like the off choice cause I can turn off extra fans in sleep but keep other on so my computer doesn't burn up. Just a thought.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Product

Pros: This fan controller is extremely well built. I'd read stories about flashy touchscreen fan controllers in the same price point shorting out and catching fire. None of those concerns here. Looks very good with my Rosewill Challenger case. I've found the fan control presets to be nice. The high and low settings have significant differences, and with one fan running low and the other two off when not gaming my computer is a lot quieter than it was before I got the controller.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: A solid, good looking, no-frills fan controller.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Pros: Looks very nice with my Antec 900 case. Comes with extension cables for each of the 3 pin fans and the molex connector. Seems to be really well made.

Cons: The switches control fan speeds for low/off/high. A medium setting might have been nice.

Other Thoughts: I bought some Coolmaster 120mm Blue LED fans to go with this that have 3 pin connectors. I was expecting the fans to dull significantly when set on low but I don't notice any difference. The LED's on the switches however are always brighter then the fans I bought.
