5 out of 5 eggsSolved all of my USB issues and gave me a lot of room for expansion!!!

Pros: 1) Gives you 3 Additional USB 2.0 Ports
2.) Gives you an additional 2 External Style (But are inside of your case) USB 2.0 Ports
3.) Works Great and is powered for those USB devices that suck up the wattage
4.) Simple Design and Easy to Install
5.) Includes all of the cables required to get it setup.

Cons: 1.) It is a little of a pricey option but much better than a USB Card
2.) Cables are short

Other Thoughts: Solved all of my Internal USB 2.0 issues and gave me a lot of room for expansion!!! It basically converts 1 Internal USB header on your Motherboard to 3 Internal and 2 External (See note above)
I was dis-interested in the product because of the price but after doing research for a whole weekend I ended up coming back to it. Now I am very happy that I spent the extra bucks as it works great.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great. Very handy

Pros: -Works
-Truns one usb 2.0 header into three usb 2.0 headers.

Cons: -The power cord is very short and only uses molex power.
-Its a pain to keep it looking nice because of the power cord being so short.
-Because of molex power I have to use one from my semi-modular power supply just for this. So i just have a mess of cables lieing there now.

Other Thoughts: -Longer power cable please
-Needs to upgrade to sata power.

5 out of 5 eggsA MUST HAVE addon for INTERNAL components that need a USB 2.0 header!

Pros: This little gem of a card will save the day when you find out you have come up short on internal USB headers to hookup the ever increasing number of INTERNAL system components that require a USB 2.0 header. Many motherboards come with only one or two internal USB 2.0 headers. These headers typically allow a connection to front or rear system case USB jacks. Today, power supplies, fan controllers, water cooling pumps, card readers and more are demanding the use of an INTERNAL USB header, hence NZXT to the rescue! It comes with all the necessary cables, mount it using the provided Velcro, hookup is a "snap", just plug it into a 4 pin Molex power connector with the provided cable, connect it to an available motherboard USB header and you have just expanded a single USB 2.0 INTERNAL header to x3. Plus it will add x2 USB down ports. Now go ahead and hookup that card reader mounted in a 5.25" drive bay, or monitor that new power supply or cooling pump via a USB connection and their respective software. Need more, connect another IU01 to another available motherboard USB header for a total of x6 INTERNAL headers and x4 USB down ports inside your system case.

Cons: NONE yet!

4 out of 5 eggsBetter Than advertised

Pros: Bought this because of Corsair H110i GTX, which occupied my one and only USB2 internal port on the MB(MSI X99A Raider), and I needed another for the case's (Corsair Obsidian 750D) front USB2 port.
I was skeptical about this product because of the picture and description. (Picture being bare bone circuit, and I didn't see the description about whether it included cables or not.)
It turns out it was housed in well designed + sturdy box, and it indeed included good quality woven, sleeved power cable and a 9 pin USB2 cord.
It also comes with official 3M velcro strips so you can stick it to wherever the hell you want.
-It does it's function as it should.
-I had no clue what the actual fxxx those two EXTERNAL USB ports doing inside the enclosure.
The description on the package explained that it is for the bluetooth and/or wireless receivers so you can save space on the outside, which is a thoughtful touch.

Cons: -So far, it functions without any issues
-Not a deal breaker, but it would have been better if the power source was connected to a SATA power instead of 4 pin Molex it come with. Who uses these nowadays? I had to use the bulky Molex cable from my modular PSU (which have "4" 4pin molex heads!) just to connect this one.

3 out of 5 eggsbuy this at your own risk.

Pros: great idea for extending USB functionality without using an external device bay. comes with Velcro and Molex power cable. not terribly expensive, and i'm sure that some of them work as advertised.

Cons: **please note that this review is related to an order made directly from NZXT and not thru Newegg.

1. packaging.
2. defective, out-of-the-box.
3. horrible customer support from NZXT.

packaging -- the small box that this USB device came in fell apart and allowed the circuit board to be tossed around during shipping. this is likely why it was...

defective out-of-the-box -- definitely not the end of the world, and something that should be very easy to rectify. well, i suppose it would be easy if it wasn't for the...

horrible customer support from NZXT -- actually, i'm understating the issue. it is worse than horrible. had i been able to get someone on the phone or to reply to an e-mail, i could have at least complained about it while asking for an RMA.

Other Thoughts: defective parts are just something we all have to deal with occasionally. i have personally had to return bunches of components... video cards and motherboards mostly, and there was that mATX case i had a problem with last year... but my point is that it happens.

assembly issue, component failure, or packaging problem... it's no big deal. right?

well, here we have a vendor, NZXT, who apparently doesn't know the how or why behind customer service. 45 minutes on hold calling at 16:00 eastern time... then requesting an automated callback... then sending an e-mail. all useless and pointless. all with no reply.

as far as i'm concerned, the $ i spent on this device is a lesson learned. i have no intention of patronizing a company if i can't get even a reply after-the-fact.

note to whatever NZXT employee is planning on replying to this... please don't. i am not interested in dealing with your company at this point... i am just trying to warn others of what is in store for them.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected.. no issues

Pros: new X99 MBs end up having only single usb 2.0 ports. With watercoolers, corsair link controllers, cases with usb 2.0 ports etc, you quickly realize that usb 2.0 is ver much still needed and not just one, but more than one. I only found this product after a long research on the internet that helps with this issue. It connects to existing usb 2.0 port and in return gives you 3 usb 2.0 headers for use. In addition it has two other ports that you can plug in some sort of transmitters or dongles. People have advised not to use the ports for wifi or blutooth as this is an internal card and the computer chassis are metal and hence there will be interference.

With this card, now I am able to connect all my devices, water coolers and corsair link hardware easily.

The card also requires power which it derives from 4 pin molex connected to PSU.

a Velcro sticker is provided so you can stick this any where you want inside the case.

Cons: None really. Cost is low, and it does the job with no issues

1 out of 5 eggsGreat Idea; May have fried my System...

Pros: Great Idea, expand the interior usb's and even and exterior.

Cons: Just built system, installed OS ran all updates setup all extra software and drivers, ran some burn in software for several hours without error and no problem.
Come home and open box of newly arrived IU01 and connect and noticed after checking usb functionality that the case usb no longer worked. Shrugged it off until next day figuring I inadvertently unplugged something by mistake. Next day take a look at all cables and all of a sudden realize that DVD and Bluray drives no longer work. Interior HD no longer works and all case fans are no longer working.

Other Thoughts: My case has a card reader which uses another USB connection so I needed this to add another USB connection inside. Was it the IU01 or the power supply; who knows all I know is after building a whole new system I was having to RMA half of it.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, Valued NZXT Customer

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect with Corsair AXi and H100i

Pros: Didn't have enough USB 2 headers to connect both my Corsair AXi 860 power supply and my H100i GTX CPU cooler. I added the NZXT IU01 and first boot after install everything worked.
- It comes with everything, you don't need to buy and extension cable or a power adapter
- No software or drivers to install

Cons: I think Corsair should have offered it with either the 750D case or either of their 'i' components.
