4 out of 5 eggsWorks well unless you use their fans

Pros: Seems very well built. The LED control button is a nice feature. Easy to install. It also looks very nice in my Haf 932 case. This is a great fan controller for anyone who isn't a fan of the LED display controllers.

Cons: Seems to make an awful buzz sound when paired with the Bitfenix Spectre Pro 230mm fan. Ive purchased 2 of their fans to replace my side and front fans for the case. Both make this buzzing noise when the fan controller isn't at minimum or maximum. Other brand fans sound normal even with LEDs, but most won't function with the LED control option of this fan controller.

Other Thoughts: Ive seen people comment on the sliders being cheap and falling off, i have not experienced this at all. Also make sure you plan on using 3 pin fans with this product as all of the connections are 3 pin. If you use 4 pin fans go with the Recon it has all 4 pin connections.

5 out of 5 eggsWho needs and LED touchscreen?

Pros: Great fan controller, honestly, that's why I'm here to leave a review for those that are hesitant to get it. Well, here's what I have to say; it's simple to use, and gets the job done. Easy install, I didn't have compatible fans for the Fan LED controller, but they give you the option to remove the cables to make room. The bezel isn't 100% blended into your preferred case assuming you have a black case (I have a Corsair Obsidian 550D Quiet Case), it's not THAT noticeable unless your staring at it 6-8 times a day that is. for a casual to gaming PC user, it's a very convenient fan controller. You control the speeds extremely fast with just the flick of your finger, no hassle and that's another great thing about. I did read some reviews about this, and was hesitant at first because it's constantly being compared to the Bitfenix recon, but I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. If you're a perfectionist/color oriented/fancy type person, you might want to dish out a little more money for the Recon.

Cons: I wish the Fan LED controller On/Off switch had a wider range of compatibility with other fans other than the manufacture ones.

Other Thoughts: Please be weary that it only controls 5 fans, so future upgrades might be a problem, but hell, I would even install a second one!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Matched case (Fractal Arc black).
- Nice feel to the sliders.
- Sliders move with minimal force, but not so little that other things move them by mistake.

Cons: - Screw holes were off just enough to case trouble mounting. -1 egg
- Little white led does not turn off. -0 egg (just a gripe)

Other Thoughts: I do not yet have the matching case fans that this unit can control the lights on, but they will be a future purchase I'm sure.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for Bitfenix fans

Pros: This controller is pretty solid for all the Bitfenix fans on my Bitfenix Colossus window, it has the exact features I wanted in a fan controller.

The 5 channel 30 watt control is great, as opposed to the other reviews when turning the fan all the way down it doesnt almost shut them down, though you do see the gradual decrease in speed it just puts the fan at a discrete speed for internet browsing ect.

Also the sliders when combined with Bitfenix fans it dims the LEDs as you decrease the speed of the fan, which in my opinion its a great feature. The LED off/on is always great to have also.

Cons: As others have mentioned the gunmetal sliders are plastic, and do have a tendency to come out of place. Though this is easily fixed by moving the slider at an angle.

Other Thoughts: Wish the sliders were not plastic as opposed to the controller which is metal. And that they would not go out of place.

4 out of 5 eggsBitFenix understanding Modding

Pros: Great compatibility with this unit, I was greatly surprised when I was able to not only hook up fans to this unit, but also LEDs so I could make my LEDs Dim. I made sure I contacted my LED manufacture for specs and to make sure that the LEDs would not be damaged if dropped below 7v and with my fan setup and lighting, this kit really brings it together.

Cons: While I do love it for my rig, somethings I would like to see them improve or add would be that they would change the paint on it to be a deeper black, with the site it looks truly black, but once you get it, the plastic black of it makes it almost a 2 or 3 shades above black. The sliders easily pop off, now I love that they can come off, don't get me wrong which will be huge for them if they sold small packs that were different colors that you could swap them out, but they come off too easily and make it a possibility to lose them.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you check your fan LED cables on the panel because if they are not tight, it will seem if the product is defective, when it is not and make it appear that it only works half the time. Other that that, great product when paired with their fans. I kid you not, these help my case bring it together so I can have the lighting off, don't have to do a serious mod to my case and I have the ability to turn my lights off. There will be modding required if you would want to dim your LED lights on these because you have to make them be able to plug into a fan, but it's totally worth it to bring your case together, hands down.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Able to turn LEDs off on the Spectre Pros, easy sliders for changing fan RPMs, 30W per channel, SofTouch.

Cons: Slider handles pop off easily and are not glued on, power led a bit too bright

Other Thoughts: On my other fan controller when you turn the fan all the way down the fan shuts completely off, this one doesn't do that, it just turns them very down very low.

3 out of 5 eggsMerely average when you consider the facade.

Pros: Sliders give quite a wide range of control over the fans... seems to realistically give between 20 to 105%

Nice and sturdy controller built onto a steel (not aluminum) frame. Makes for something that's likely to last from case to case. That is, if you can stomach some of the design issues with this controller.

Cons: The rubber coating is dark grey, not black. So it won't blend into black cases. The gunmetal sliders are plastic and look worse in person. The rubber coating on top of the plastic facade is dark grey on light grey... and even after sliding the slider a full length once or twice... the rubber coating is rubbing off. Get out your sharpies if you tend to adjust a lot... because you will see grey streaks behind the sliders where the "soft touch" coating rubbed off.

Slider knobs themselves aren't very well secured to their backing. One slider knob was loose and rattling around in the box itself when I got it. It doesn't take much effort to pull each of them off. I actually wonder if they're capable of staying on if not for the fact that using a slider tends to re-seat them every time you touch it.

Other Thoughts: In the end, average. The ball was dropped in a few ways but it's still a good controller overall. I just don't see it holding up to normal wear and tear without looking destroyed even if the entire kit ends up surviving through the ages.

I still would have gotten this controller over the other option... but the price certainly needs to be more competitive and in-line with the only other slider based fan controller being sold on this site.

White LED indicator is pleasantly soft. Not searing bright but somewhat diffused.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality well designed controller!

Pros: 30w controller for 5 fans!
SofTouch finish
Great design
LED on/off button
sliders feel solid
sturdy frame

Cons: Only issue I and I'm not sure it's the controller or the fans but when I have the controller sliders all the way to the bottom for all fans some of the fans seem to not have enough power to start spinning. I have all BitFenix Spectre Pro fans so not a cross-product issue here. If I move them up just a hair they start up fine and then will stay on once the sliders are all down again. It's like the setting is so low of power that the fans cannot start themselves. This rarely happens though and is not an issue for me as I'm always keeping them on high anyways since everything is so quiet.

Other Thoughts: If you have a CM Storm Trooper case, this IS the controller for you! It fits perfect and the finish is identical!
