3 out of 5 eggsgood hardware..terrible software

Pros: -looks great
-touch screen is great
-being able to adjust fan speed manually is fantastic

Cons: -Software unable to download and when I did doesn't work...just a disaster really not happy with that

Other Thoughts: its a shame the software is difficult to install and get working properly for that this product gets 2 strikes against it

4 out of 5 eggsFinally!

Pros: I finally found the controller card I needed in order to install this thing. So far it seems to be working.
The screen, albeit a little bright (I need to play with it a little to see if this can adjusted) but it's really no big deal.
I've read several other reviews on this product wherein the writers have complained about viewing the screen. I, however, have absolutely no problem viewing the screen from any angle what so ever.
Noise level, even with all five fans running at full speed, is barely noticeable (makes about as much noise as a 140mm venting fan on the backside of most current chassis's).
Programmable with the ability to store multiple fan profiles if you're into that.
Cables are nice and long, allowing for multiple thermal readings and fan attachment.

Cons: The cables are too long, and there's a mess of them! It's definitely not the controller for neat freaks. Fortunately for me, I have this thing installed in a portion of my chassis which is hidden from sight.
I was upset as one of the thermal sensors came with one of two wires broken off it's hub (see other thoughts below).
Bezel edge is too wide for the chassis front panel. I had the thing installed and ready to go, all I had left to do was replace the front chassis panel (I had taken it off for easier access). Unfortunately, the front panel wouldn't go over the controller face. I therefore had to remove the entire controller, cables and all, and reroute everything back through the front of the front cover. Should have tested it before I installed it.

Other Thoughts: Regarding the faulty cable, I wasn't that irritated as I don't really think those little probes are terribly accurate anyway. Still, it made me question if I really felt comfortable installing the controller, not knowing if other connections are just as frail. However, BitFenix seems to have anticipated the potential of this occurring and supplied 2 additional fan connectors as well as thermal sensors. Replacing them couldn't be easier. They must have either gotten many complaints regarding faulty cables or simply realized the potential for cables coming loose (they are extremely thin and therefore fragile). Either way, they had the vision to supply additional spare cables.
In my previous review, I had commented on the fact that the length of the controller was a bit short. However, I had no problems getting it installed and held in place.
The fact that the bezel is too wide for the front of the case to fit over does have it's benefits. The controller can be pushed into the 5.25" bay only so far.
I had my doubts about this type of fan controller, but for the price, I'm satisfied.

3 out of 5 eggsWaiting to See

Pros: Touch screen programming is just cool. Also, this fan controller allows you to set multiple profiles and save them so retrieval is as easy as a push of a single button. Has 5 separate thermometer probes for thermal monitoring near each fan attached which is a nice feature.

Cons: Fits nice & snug in a 5.25" drive slot and adds to the overall aesthetics of your build. However, the length of the controller from face the end is far too short, making mounting it a bit of a PITA.
Only allows for a total of 5 fans as opposed to 6. (This, however, suits me just fine as there are only 5 fans I need to attach.)
Power connections. Requires 2 separate molex connections as well as 2 2 internal USB connections. My board is only slotted for 2 internal USB jacks and I have yet to find a PCIe card with additional pin out USB connection. Already have the front case USB attached to 1 of the internal jacks and the USB input for my Antec Kuhler H2O occupies the other jack. Would be much more convenient if the USB connecters were standard mail allowing for easy connection to any PCIe USB card. I understand the need of the type of connections required (I/O data management). However, the requirements for this particular controller should be bolded on the product page. I would have gone another way had I known about the USB requirements.
Thermometer probes appear to have no adhesive, however, making it necessary to tape them in place.

Other Thoughts: Overall the pros balance the cons. If your MB has more than 2 internal pin out jacks than this controller is a good option for you (my previous MB had 3 jacks which would still be 1 less than I need). I know I went off a bit about the USB situation (enough to lose 2 eggs in fact) but as I stated above, if your MB meets these internal USB jack requirements, than this a good way to go.

2 out of 5 eggsPlease let me like this thing!

Pros: Soft touch really compliments my BitFenix case. Plenty of fan connectors and temperature leads.

Cons: It never started up. I connected everything and as soon as windows started, my computer executed an emergency shutoff. White smoke started comming out of my case. The insulation on the power leads had begun melting. I have never seen this happen before, but I am hoping this is simply a defective unit. I am replacing it with the same unit and will modify this review with new results. For now all I can say is be very careful.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: -Very nice display that responds to touch well.
-Installs easily.
-Included internet accessible software is a handy tool to have.
-Cables are long enough for even the largest of cases.

Cons: -Temp probes are pretty much useless unless you put some real heavy thought into permanent placement for them and their wires.
-The included tape is garbage, use electrical tape or pressure mount them between two surfaces if your going to use the probes.
-You have to run the software as an administrator for it to work.

Other Thoughts: All in all this was a good purchase as it makes it very easy and simple to adjust the fan speeds on all my case fans. I found if your going to use the probes it's best to place them in the heat sinks as close to the component as possible, this takes some tricky rigging to work. I ended up just bundling them up and zip tieing them next to the unit as I just control the fans manually anyways.

3 out of 5 eggsBad experience

Pros: control 5 fans
long cables
extensions for 3 pin fan cables
nice screen

Cons: see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: I took 2 eggs off because this item was delivered to me after 12 days (almost half a month) after my complete payment. I even opened a claim for package lost because newegg didn't have enough info about its location when I called in.
Also, there are a lot (I mean a lot) of cables that come with this controller, so be prepared for the mess.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't work

Pros: Looks cool

Cons: The software hasn't been updated.
The sound on this is annoying and extremely loud if not turned off.
Touch screen is buggy.
End result is that my fans are just set on full speed.
Poor viewing angles I mean there is a large ghosting effect.
