4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Brushed black aluminum housing,
LCD display very clear and awesome viewing angles as long as you can see the screen you can view the displayed info very easily,
Screen is not unbearingly bright in dark environment,
All wires are black (pic shows 4x white temp probes but are actually black),
4x Fan extensions and 1x Molex extension are sleeved,
Changeable display colors are great,
Full range of control,
Alarm can be enabled/disabled (works at 6.5+v)
alarm is not abnoxious and can be easlily heard,
30watts/2.5A per channel is great,
Accurate Rpm display in units of 10rpm's

Cons: Alarm and Colors are set by positioning jumpers at the back of the unit so if you want to change color or alarm you have to remove the unit to do so.

Fan speeds cannot be controlled by temp probe readings, Manual only.

Short Molex extension,

1 controll knob is loose and can be easily pulled off however rotates just fine, so 1 egg off for potential QC control issue

all knobs were not pushed in fully, but thats not an issue for me.

Other Thoughts: Would like to see color and alarm controls accessable by button/switch on the front panel.

Longer molex extension would be appreciated,

Unlike other reviews I have FULL range of control with the knobs, I am running corsair 140mm ww quiet edition Airflow fans, at 2xfront intake pannel, 1xRear exhaust, 1xTop intake 1xbottom intake, and 4xCorsair140mm Static push/pull radiator exhaust.

which adds up to (at full 12v power)
5x Corsair 140mm Airflow 13.08 Watts = .23A x 12v
4x Corsair 140mm Static Pressure 8.64 Watts = .18A x 12v
21.72 Watts total

so every fan in my case can be run off of 1 channel if necessary with room to grow, so depending on your fan amps you could potentially run 10+ fans per channel for a total of over 40 fans.
just make sure your molex entension and power supply cables are AWG 16 (at worst) or 14 (to be safe) for 120Watt Max on all 4 channels @ 2.5A per channel

Running my voltages at 7v+/- .02 keeps my system just as cool under full loads as when they were running at a full 12v, and allows the Alarm function to continue to work.

My fans will run as low as 3v but seem to need 3.5v to start, this will change per fan make/model/size and is a limitation of the FAN and NOT the controler.

Below 12v voltage display on unit does fluctuate a little.01/.03v+/- but remember that system/unit heat affects rheostat units such as these, but really does not affect performance at that level of fluctuation, (unless 10rpm really makes a difference to you)

Very happy with this product, will purchase againg when I need another controller!

3 out of 5 eggsNice product, but..

Pros: -Led control
-Temp sensor
-seems to be high quality

Cons: -Knob are not at the same position for fan speed/voltage:
1: 1/2
2: 3/4
3: 3/4
2: 1/4

They are all the same model fans, XSPC.

Other Thoughts: I tried to contact Lamptron, but never get answer. For me, the support is quite bad. Paid the unit and I thought it would be all perfect. Well, I hope they will one day get back to me, or if newegg can help me with this..

5 out of 5 eggsCOLORS!

Pros: -Can make display show different colors that would match your build.
-4 manual knobs for custom fan RPM control
-Connections for Temperature leads

Cons: -Would prefer if also shipped with thermal tape. to hold the temperature leads exactly where you want them to stay. However, you can just leave these disconnected and just use the controller as a simple rpm controller.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect

Pros: adjustable colors, nice knobs, works well

Cons: a lil expensive, but I spent weeks researching and looking for a red controller. This is perfect

Other Thoughts: other people complain the knobs are too sensitive, buts its really not a problem at all

2 out of 5 eggsBroken and ultra sensitive.

Pros: Looks amazing
LED is non-blinding
Modular cables!

Cons: The Cons.

0 to MAYBE 45 degrees of adjusting the knob

Extremely sensitive knobs and I cant even change the RPM's without it jumping from a low RPM to a high one without hardly touching it.

One knob was broken when I bought it. Tried to put it on, but it is flimsy.

RMA'd it.

Other Thoughts: I really would of liked to use this, as it was my first fan controller, however it arrived broken out of the package with one knob not attached and doesn't stay on. The knobs are ultra sensitive (not exaggeration in the slightest). I wanted quality, but I got something that was suppose to be great, that wasn't. Unfortunately my first (hopefully last) Negative review.

1 out of 5 eggsLooks Great, Doesn't Perform!

Pros: - Great build quality, solid construction
- Bright, Clear LED screen
- Quality sleeved fan extensions
- Looks GREAT in my case, fit well in my 5.25" bay

Cons: - Dial Knobs only control voltage from 0 (turned all the way left: OFF) to 45 (turned right) degrees. HUGE PROBLEM.

Other Thoughts: I was excited to receive this item after reading mixed reviews on forums. However, after getting everything wired up, plugged in, and turned on - the controller knobs only work between 0 and 45 degrees, where 0 is OFF, and 45 is MAX RPM/V. Anything in between is extremely fickle and you have to turn the dial very slowly to get any voltage response.

Its almost impossible to fine tune it, as if you turn it either way it will either throttle off or stay at max. This is a HUGE problem and renders the fan controller obsolete as the point of me purchasing this controller was to fine tune my build to comfortable noise levels.

When I bought this product there was only 1 review on Newegg and it gave favorable reviews, however now after struggling with this product for about an hour last night, I came on Newegg and noticed new reviews for this product, of which half are having my problem as well.

Instead of waiting for a RMA, I'm thinking about trying to just get a refund for this product, its either defective, or doesn't work as intended.

Other Reviewers have stated:
"Low-end voltage regulation is absurdly jumpy - moving the potentiometer, for example, one millimeter can suddenly result in a five volt change."

"The control knobs that are supposed to provide "Stepless Speed Control" can physically turn about 270 degrees; however the actual control range is only about 5-10 degrees."

3 out of 5 eggsSome Caveats

Pros: Fantastic build quality; great accessory bundle (sleeved fan cables are included). 30W per-channel support. Perfectly matches my Silverstone TJ08E chassis.

Cons: Low-end voltage regulation is absurdly jumpy - moving the potentiometer, for example, one millimeter can suddenly result in a five volt change. Terrible viewing angles (par for course, honestly). No heatsinks on regulator modules; the unit smells like burnt carbon when downvolting my 12v, 18W water pump.

Other Thoughts: This unit has no 12v start-up voltage handling. So, if you have a device that requires high-end voltage for start-up, you'll have to manually adjust the voltage every time you restart your computer. Could have been solved with some inline capacitors that discharge to temporarily provide full 12v for connected devices on power toggle.

2 out of 5 eggsLooks great but...

Pros: This controller is well built and looks amazing. The LED color was easily customized to fit my build. The three fan extensions & the power cable were sleeved.

Cons: The control knobs that are supposed to provide "Stepless Speed Control" can physically turn about 270 degrees; however the actual control range is only about 5-10 degrees. In order to control the fans beyond off or full speed you have to turn the knob in tiny micro adjustments. With extreme care, I could get my fans dialed down to about 7 volts, be wary, the smallest hand shake or bump while adjusting the dial and the fan speed can go off or all the way to 12 volts almost immediately. Also the Voltage on the display jumps around wildly. Changing the speed on one fan can affect the voltage output on the other three fans, requiring further adjustment. If I had experienced these problems with only one of the knobs I would say it was defective, but the fact that all four knobs require such care makes me believe this device has a design flaw. This device almost useless.

Other Thoughts: This would be an incredible product if it functioned with a full range of adjustment in the knob. For now it is just eye candy.

4 out of 5 eggsNice but a few drawbacks

Pros: The color selection is nice, and the unit looks slick and performs well. So far no real problems. It fits nicely in my HAF XM

Cons: One of the 3 pin fan cables was defective, so that was unfortunate. There is no thermal tape to apply the temperature sensors. The knobs only utilize about 1/3 of the range and it makes fine tuning voltages a pain because of the small operational range of the knob.

Other Thoughts: It's one of the better solutions out there. The color and voltage/temp customization is nice and it fits very well. There are some drawbacks, but nothing as bad as with other fan controllers I've seen on the market.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Controller

Pros: Great looking controller...very well built, knobs to control fan speed are very responsive. Nice bright LED screen, easy to read.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Have it hooked up to 4 120mm Corsair AF series fans, and they run great at any operating voltage you adjust it to (7-12v for these specific fans).
