5 out of 5 eggsExcellent quality. Durable. Strong.

Pros: Top notch--highly recommended.

Prevents fingers from pocking fans accidentally and making them noisy and wobbly as a result and it reduces noise slightly and, well, it LQQKs KeWL.. awesome, eh?

Cons: Price is right--there are no cons.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 sets of 3 for 2 computer cases--Cooler Master, Cosmos 1000.

Just a side not--if you need you can put the fan filters on both sides of the fan--remove the fan screw in the filter on both sides and it will be uber protected from both sides.. hmm.. not in my case but possible coolness. I had the scres required but you might want to consider that they don't come with special screws supplied--you can raid some old computer for them if you have to.

3 out of 5 eggsThey Serve Their Purpose

Pros: They catch some of the dust.
They are made out of metal.
Easy to install.

Cons: The metal is thing and can be easily bent.
The hole are large enough to let a good ammount of dust through into the case.

5 out of 5 eggsNot exactly a "filter"... Well Made Dust Screens

Pros: Well made, good fit and finish and they will catch the lion's share of junk floating in the air.

Cons: Not a "filter"... This is not really a "Con" but the term filter could be misleading to some.

Other Thoughts: I considered knocking off an "egg" because these are really misnamed, however, these screens do work well to catch dust / lint and because they are well made and finished nicely I gave it a 5 anyway.

I'm using these inside of a case on the exhaust fans primarily to "clean up" the look as well as keep junk (and my fingers) out of the fans.

The intake fan does have a filter as well as a screen... Because, well, I've got one heck of a dust problem here.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fit well. Blocks animal hair and larger deposits.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: These aren't designed to block dust, so don't purchase them if that's your goal. They do a wonderful job of blocking animal hair, and don't restrict airflow as much as a foam filter would.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Using screws is unnecessary and that's exactly why I bought them. Don't reduce air flow much at all. I haven't had them long enough to see any dust being filtered. However, my case (Cooler Master HAF XB) has the exact same material on it's front cover and that does catch a good amount of dust. Logically these should filter an equivalent amount of dust and debris.

Cons: One of them came slightly warped and with a "prong" that was badly bent. Minus an egg.

Other Thoughts: Wish I could get some in 80 mm.

5 out of 5 eggsAPEVIA FF-120BK Fan Filter

Pros: MUCH BETTER THAN SLICED BREAD!!
Snaps onto most 120mm fan housing(s)--attests to machining precision..Clean, and simple..
Try fitting to front, and rear regardless of airflow;
really prevents dust deposit into case, and fan..

Cons: Sharp edges--despite machining turning these edges inward..

Other Thoughts: Not enough room..

3 out of 5 eggsNo Good for Turbine Fans

Pros: Looks nice. Made from high quality steel.

Cons: Sits too close to the blades for turbine-style fans (fans with 16+ blades.) I hear the blades scrape against the mesh at even low RPM. at higher RPMs, the fan blades grind continuously. Also, I think these screen DO reduce airflow significantly as opposed to foam or plastic screen filters.

Other Thoughts: Good product overall, but one should consider the drop in airflow when using turbine-style fans That said, it works much better with standard-type fans.

3 out of 5 eggsScreen, not a Filter

Pros: They can provide some filtering. Work better than older grills on case fans. Thry can just be placed on the fan and don't need to be fastened in unless they are inverted.

Cons: These are not filters! If you look at the third picture in the series on the website, the holes shown are what you are really getting. They offer some filtering, but not what I was hoping for. My case already has this screening (CM Stormtrooper), and I was looking for additional filtering for the side intake fan. Instead I have double screening which works somewhat as the holes do not align, but not a filter I can remove and clean like I was looking for

2 out of 5 eggsNot Bad, but not really filters

Pros: Thin - Some filters make it difficult to put the OEM case screw back on the fan since there thicker.

Cheap- Good price for a pack of 3

Cons: Holes are too big to actually filter anything besides a fly.

Other Thoughts: Should be labeled as a fan grate, not a filter. There awsome grates, they just wont really filter dust since there not fine enough. I used them inside my case in locations where a stray wire may hit the fan. I also put them on my sucking fans, even with positive static pressure Im still getting some dust since they dont filter that great.

If you put a foam pad between these things and the fan, they work great.
