My sanity restored

Pros: It's small, but looks and feels well built. There is a relatively large aluminum heatsink on the chip.

Its cheap.

It fills an expansion slot rather than a drive bay.

Cons: You need power splitters to use more than 1 fan. Luckily one of my two case fans came with a power splitter.

All the fans in your chain of splitters will be adjusted by the same knob.

Other Thoughts: It brought an 80mm and 120mm case fan from maddeningly loud to a more reasonable volume. Idle temps are ~3 degrees C hotter, but still under 65 during stress tests.

A controller with two knobs would have let me turn the 120mm up a little higher. This part was less than half the price of any I could find with multiple knobs, so if that 1 degree temp change ever really bugs me, I'll splurge on a second one of these.

Pros: Does what its supposed to do.

Cons: No issues.

Other Thoughts: This is running two loud 120mm fans and has allowed me to reduce speed so sound doesn't drive me totally crazy.

I had no problems putting this in my bottom slot of my Coolermaster Scout case, it did not interfere with my other cards.

Heatsink gets warm but no issues so far. I have not had any electrical problems that others have stated.

I chose this fan controller, because it can control multiple fans and the majority of front bay controllers out there have blue LEDs that don't go with my red and black case.
