3 out of 5 eggsgood fan controler

Pros: i wanted to light up the front of my case. 5 fan ports. i wanted to add another fan to my computer no more ports on my mobo. This did the job. the alarm gets irritating i recommend just pulling the jumper

Cons: not free

Other Thoughts: i misused 2 eggs after several months the screen is starting to dim and flickers when i touch it. Kind of disappointing. it isn't dead yet. when it fully dies i will post a final review

1 out of 5 eggsDefective off the box

Pros: Fan cables are long!! ^.^ . its a fan controller. lights up i can turn off the display.

Cons: i kinda have to press hard for the touch screen to work. i have 4 200mm thermaltake fans also a case which is fantastic but they originally go up to 800 rpm but this controller reads fan 3 at 3400 rpm which i know is wrong. fan 1 and 2 read at 0 rpm when they are working fine . there is no way can can make the alarm shut off. i want to get an exchange but i need specific instructions on how to do it. but im gonna need for the manufacture to respond.

Other Thoughts: i wish it didnt come broken.... ;(

1 out of 5 eggsThermaltake Commander FT Touch Screen 5 Channel

Pros: None

Cons: First off this doesn't fit properly into a 5.25 bay.
The connectors are so loose, you need to use zip ties to keep it together. Also dead pixels. Awful fan controller, very poor design.

Other Thoughts: Look elsewhere.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. This controller has thread mounting holes on it. Those mounting holes should line up with 5.25" drive bay. Please contact support team for installation related issue and warranty/RMA instructions.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Works great. Easy to use. Keeps my fans at a nice slow pace unless needed during high stress workloads. We'll see how it runs when summer comes back around.

Cons: My only gripe is the carriage for the touchscreen is REALLY short so in some PC cases like Mine (CM Storm Scout 2) I was unable to put in any screws because the holes are too far forward on the device. it's barely locked in place so I have to be careful when pressing the touch screen.

1 out of 5 eggsCan not be Mounted

Pros: It Works.

Cons: I could not screw it down to any of my 5.25 bays.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why, but this thermaltake products feels cheap. I would go with NZXT Sentry 3 or Grid+ V2 instead. If your looking for a good fan controller

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Troy,

We at Thermaltake would like to apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

4 out of 5 eggsThermaltake Commander FT Touch Screen

Pros: My most recent build was the first time I decided to use a Fan Controller. The display panel is easy to read and the touch seems responsive to my massive sausage fingers - meaning that I actually control what I want instead of mis-pointing on something else.

-Easy to adjust the individual RPM
-Easy to read

Cons: The bundled wires aren't really a con, but if you're like me and want to do some decent cable management, you will have to figure out a place to put them

It uses a molex power connection (though I'm sure you can convert that to SATA power)

(these aren't really cons to the device, just my personal opinions)

Other Thoughts: I decided to go with this particular model because I'm using a Thermaltake Urban S31 case - Looks great.

5 out of 5 eggsGood looking unit

Pros: Very good looking and easy to use with the slide of a finger.

Cons: First fan port was defective and would not sense or power any fan I tried. Luckily I only needed 3 case fans running, so I shifted down one connector each.

4 out of 5 eggsHi Tech

Pros: Installed this fan controller into my my new build using a Corsair 75D full tower case. Works great and pleasing to look at.

Cons: Because the controller is not a full bay front to back it did not secure down on the left side. Case has toolless lock down 3.5 bays and I manage to secure right side with screw. Left side does not have a hole showing to secure down. Had to find small screw, washer and nut to secure down left side. Normally i wouldn't care but this is a touch screen controller and would not want left side to push inward when touching screen.

Other Thoughts: Design the whole bay bracket to fit a full 3.5 bay
