3 out of 5 eggsNice cover

Pros: Looks nice, card reader & fan controller work well. Power USB works with USB2.0 devices.
takes up 2- 5 1/4 drive bays

Cons: Takes up 2- 5 1/4 drive bays
Power ports have not many applications for the Power USB ports and they do not come with the cables to use them, would have been better if they replaced the two power ports with extra USB ports.

Other Thoughts: Bought this just to cover two empty 5- 1/4 drive slots in an old case I was reusing, found it to be more useful than expected.

1 out of 5 eggsAll Flash

Pros: It looks cool. The card reader still works.

Cons: Where to begin. Keeps blinking and beeping on star up, think the battery is dead. fan controller dose not work on manual and auto is still debatable. Only got fans to 80% speed as apposed to a straight molex. The temp sensors are junks and break easy. Bought 6 new for $5 and the quality difference is immense.

Other Thoughts: I mainly bought this because I needed a fan controller. It also looked cool and it had the card reader. Really wished it worked. Haven't found anything as feature loaded. I could understand if it cost $40 but $70 for this peace of junk, its a rip. DON'T BUY!!!!

2 out of 5 eggsNothing but looks

Pros: Looks really good at first glance. Impresses all your friends who either don't know anything or think they know it all, but really don't. Colorful. Not too difficult to install.

Cons: Fan controller is very slow, delayed. Manual control of fans is cumbersome. Max fan speed is about 80% through controller. Temperature leads are hard to work with and inaccurate. Alarm is annoying and hard to program. Display feels kind of 1990s - not a realtime live LCD readout.
Costs way too much $$ for what they are giving you.

Other Thoughts: Toss the temperature leads and have a USB plugin and software application that reads all the temps already available (e.g. HW Monitor readout). These temps are realtime and accurate.

I recommend buying from somewhere else.

4 out of 5 eggscool unit

Pros: it's got cool factor, it looks cooler than what it really does, but its very practical, just wish it didn't suck up so many usb ports on my motherboard, and it resets every time, and my case gets pretty hot and in the summer it likes to break the stock threshhold for the case temps. aside from that i've had no problems with it.

Cons: it's quite intimidating to wire up, you have to know how to wire up the usb headers, and you have to mount the thermal sensors, i used painters tape. worked fine for me.

Other Thoughts: i really disagree about the thermal pads breaking, as long as you're not stupid with them you won't break them. just don't let them bend...the idiot who was complaining about it causing a fault his GPU, i'm possative he was pushing it to far in, these aren't for exact temps of cores, this unit is basically for water cooling or high end rig. i have a high end rig, i like to just monitor my temps of my case and such, i find it nifty and i enjoy the card slots very usefull. use them allot.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: very functional panel, must buy. it turns your fans higher if the temperature gets too high. can switch from C to F see temp and see fan speed. the display is very cool.

Cons: beeping noise is annoying and the time resets everytime you UNPLUG your pc

2 out of 5 eggsBad

Pros: looks sweet. accurately displays temperatures when you use the thermal sensors. card reader and USB worked as you would expect.

Cons: among numerous small annoyances that i could overlook, the biggest issue was it caused OVERHEATING! i was not expecting that from a device that is supposed to help you cool your hardware. maybe i did something wrong but my graphics card failed whenever i had the thermal sensor installed. my processor is idleing at 27C right now. with the sensor installed it would idle at about 70C which is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. manual fan control did not work at all.

if you are unable to screw this into both sides of your case it will not fit flush and look stupid on your baller gaming rig. i put this on my NZXT Tempest and it just looked dumb with all the gaps.

Other Thoughts: i read many mixed reviews on this product and decided to test my luck. now i wish i wouldn't have. you are better off buying a manual fan controller for a quarter of the price. im shipping this thing back tomorrow. payed way too much for this thing

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Cool

Pros: Looks freaking sweet, gives the front of the pc a really high tech apperance, Card reader works excellent and is great for pc's that are custom build without. usb ports work well.

Cons: So really all the complaints about installing are kind of crazy, if you are building your own computer it will be a no question operation, if your new look at your motherboard manual for the location of the labeled ends which are clearly marked...

I was not able to get the fan controller to work on manual but automatically the do just great...

Oh and one more minor thing if i could turn off the screen at night it would be excellent...

Other Thoughts: Lost 1 egg due to the manual fan mode not working correctly...

Would buy again tonight if i didn't have one...

1 out of 5 eggsBEWARE

Pros: Looks cool.
Oh, and that card reader is included. I use that and at least the card reader works.

Cons: Keep in mind that if only 1 of those little paper thin temperature sensors breaks (as they do far too easily, trust me) the whole controller is apparently shot. It alarms everytime you start the system and while you can silence the beeping by pushing any of the buttons on the front, the non-stop alarm flashing is not something that can be overridden. And apparently there is no way to turn off one of the sensors in case one is damaged, so you end up with a $70 paperweight.
By the way has anyone actually USED the powerUSB ports?

Other Thoughts: It used to work moderately well and then suddenly it started alarming everytime I started the computer. I finally figured out this was because the GPU temp sensor had somehow gotten damaged, and apparently there is no way to fix it. All other functions are now useless because it alarms in GPU mode and won't let you do anything else... oh.. except change the time.

I got this to add a bit of eyeball to my otherwise plain black rackmount workstation case. People(and clients) admiring the gear in my rackmount workstation desk usually thought the drive array was "the brains" because it had those pretty blue flashy lights to show drive activity. Adding this "system monitor" to the workstation chassis definitely changed that... Well at least when it was working.
Now when I turn on my computer I just have a very bright, annoying beeping, flashing, mostly useless $70 clock. If that's what you're looking for, more power to you!

1 out of 5 eggsWhy did I buy this, again?

Pros: Works as an excellent object for any small demolition job around the house. The countless wires are very durable so they won't break. The cheap plastic that is used to construct it breaks very easily so you won't have any trouble fitting it in the trash can. I just can't see how it is used in a computer.

Cons: Why would there be any cons? The endless beeping sound that goes off after the temperature readings fail is not annoying at all! It's not like any of us computer enthusiasts care about how hot our components are and the speed of the fans. That microscopic piece of paper with a diagram was VERY useful. Way to be green and save paper at the expense of the consumer, AeroCool!

2 out of 5 eggs50/50

Pros: Nice display..

Cons: The manual fan control is useless.. If I set the fans to 2k rpm, it doesn't do it.. The manual is useless, gosh forbid u have any questions.. If something isn't exactly right, it won't stop beeping..

No diagram for whire wire s for the case, HDD, CPU or VGA. e

Other Thoughts: Pfff... I'll be replacing it with a knob-type fan control unit.. Not worth the money, IMO..
