5 out of 5 eggsGreat

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: Super quiet and moves air.

Use this as the main exhaust for my mid tower case. Have it plugged into the chassis fan slot, but it comes with a molex adapter if needed.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Case hovers around 79F while gaming.

Doesn't move as much air as my old cooler master 120, but for the 0 sound output it's a definite upgrade.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: Silent.

Cons: Not a huge amount of air slow.

Other Thoughts: I have had two of these in my system for over 2 years and I cannot hear them. I check all my fans from time to time and they have not had an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent and effective

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: This fan is as quiet as any I have ever used. In fact, it's quieter. It's a real marvel. Even on minimum power it moves more than enough air for my computer. My CPU and motherboard temps both run in the 30's. I don't overclock.

Cons: It doesn't move as much air as some fans do. Primarily, I think, because it doesn't spin particularly fast even at full power. If you're pushing your components to the limit of heat dissipation, you'll no doubt need something else. But I can't hear this fan to tell if it's working. If I did OC, I'd consider using a case with several of these.

Other Thoughts: The magnetic, no contact, bearing is a real and actual thing. The shaft of the fan floats on an electromagnetic field, similar to the way a magnet can be suspended in the air above another magnet.

5 out of 5 eggsSo good

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: These fans are great. so quiet and the first one I bought is still working fine after 3+ years.

Cons: You have to be a bit more careful when cleaning.

Other Thoughts: Regulates speed when the temp goes up so get the biggest one you can fit in your case. I don't use fans on my video card so this is great for making a quiet PC.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Fans

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: 1. Quiet
2. Moves a good bit of air
3. Comes with screws and the 3 to 4 pin adapter
4. Inexpensive

Cons: 1. Isn't a PWM fan

Other Thoughts: I build PCs for people as side business. I have a whole bunch of these fans in various systems. They are quiet, move a good bit of air and come with all of the necessary parts. My only complaint is that I wish they came in a PWM version. A great fan for any system.

5 out of 5 eggsstill going after 5 years

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: I love these fans. I know they don't move insane air, but it all depends on how you use them. if you have a case with 7 of these in a case with a well laid out air flow, then these rock. they are very reliable, and I have bought probably 50 of these for the various builds I have done. my original batch from over 5 years ago are still working great and silent. SEE OTHER THOUGHTS.

Cons: I am not even going to mention cfm cause if you are looking at these, then you want quiet anyway and you already know quiet fans don't move tons of air.

Other Thoughts: OK- case fans 101. If you have 2 case fans, then go noisy high cfm fans. if you have 4 case fans, you can go with a mid-range cfm and mid-range sound fan. If you have 6 or more fans and have build your system around a general air-flow theme and have put a lot of work in getting heatsinks that compliment the air flow direction "theme", and put a lot of work into securing all the wires out of the way of airflow, then these fans are a wonderful low cost solution.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: I've owned a couple of these fans for a couple years now without a single failure. They don't move a ton of air but they are very quiet I take my machine out to the deck and spray it out every few months. These are some of the quietest fans I've owned and are great for creating airflow in your case.

Cons: They don't provide more than a gentle breeze. You'll want something with a variable speed for your components.

Other Thoughts: I've found tweaking variable speed fan curves with motherboard and graphics utilities is the best way to keep a system quiet while still providing proper cooling under load.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, quiet as a mouse.

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: Super quiet! I replaced the rear exaust fan that came with my Antec 300 case, which was noisy, even when set low, and needed hi switch setting to keep my rig under 35c at idle. Added this fan just to see if it would move enough air, but mostly wanted silent operation. Suprised that I now run under 30c!

Cons: Low RPM. My bios records it at 885RPM max. However, it aparently moves more air then the standard Antec fan it replaced in my 300 case.

Other Thoughts: Can't say about life yet, as it's only been running for 24hrs, but so far, it's dead silent. In a week or 2 I'll be ordering more. I'll have to see if they make a 140 for my top exaust. Great fan! Wish I had tried it before dropping 2x as much into my Logisys SF120, since it's actually more quiet then it, at 1/2 the cost.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: Essentially inaudible
Was perfect for my application and there was no audible "oddities" as it was under-volted

Cons: Peculiar starting voltages - Like in a review done by SilentPCReview, I found that ramping voltage slowly resulted in it not spinning. However running it at 12V and ramping it down worked fine.

Low CFM and static pressure, but considering the 1000 RPM rating this is hardly surprising

Other Thoughts: Perfect for a heatsink with wide fin spacing.
The listed cons are inconsequential really.
The fan was purchased specifically because of the low RPM to maintain a minimum amount of airflow without adding to system noise levels.
The operating voltage turned out to be a moot point as well. In my application, the base noise floor of the PC it was installed on was high enough that the fan never became audible even at 12V.
