5 out of 5 eggsThermaltake Yay!

Comments: This is a simple heat monitor and fan controller but its a Thermaltake, GOTTA LOVE IT. I use these for most of my mid to upper grade gamer builds. Oh Yeah NEWEGG Rocks!

4 out of 5 eggsneeds work!

Comments: first of all dont get me wrong i like this thing especially for the price but it needs some revising

it needs a backlight for the lcd screen although i really didnt find it all that hard to read in a dark room
one of the fan controll knobs turned smoothly but the other one i have to really crank on to turn it
the 1394 ports should connect to mobo headers but they only connect to outter ports
the installation of this thing was a nightmare!
and the instructions suck! they only tell you how to hook up the usb ports and the lcd alarm temp

i spent hours trying to get the fans hooked up right

here's what i did
connect all case fans in a chain then connect either one of the ends to fan controller #1 on the fan controllers female end
then connect a molex to the controller labeled something like ps connector
this becomes all the fans power only power source

then connect your cpu fan to the 2nd fan controller with the included 3 pin adapter

i like the temps sensor but it is hard to get right up next to your cpu i still havent gotten it placed right after 3 days
i like the usb ports
i like finally having a firewire port
i like the fan controllers
but this product needs work

4 out of 5 eggs

Comments: Bought this panel primarily for the temperature and fan control features. I agree with the first posting in that the read out is a bit tough to see, but it's better than other LCD displays I've seen. There is no battery on this unit, it plugs into the main power supply. The cheaper versions are battery powered. Overall I am satisfied, but the appearance was poor on my Coolermaster case, so I moved it to my son's new rig that has a Thermaltake case (it was an upgrade from the one that came with it.) The temperature indicated on a P4 system was slightly higher compared to the bios by 2-3 degrees C, while on an Athlon system it showed a lower temp by about 5-6 degrees C. In both cases the sensor was taped onto the lower portion of the heat sink. Once you know the difference in actual temps, you get a good idea how the cpu is doing without going to the bios or opening a temperature monitoring app. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because it didn't look good on my case, and I think this would be true with most non-Thermaltake cases. Also, you need to do a little creative assembly work to get it to fit a standard 5 1/2 bay, because it's designed for the Thermaltake case (but it's possible). I like the features and they all worked well. Hope this helps.

And as always, Newegg was great to do business with! I'll be back!

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: I really don't know what the other guy is talking about. This hardcano rocks. I can easily see the LCD temps. Be careful when you hook it up, check thermaltakes site, because the little piece of sheet that comes with it doesn't tell you anything. When using the fan controllers, do not put power on the chain of fans.

Pretty good product, but a pain to get everything working. Took me about an hour. But I'm loving how much more silent my pc is and that my gamepad is hooked up to the front of my computer.

What can't thermaltake do???

3 out of 5 eggsO say can u c

Comments: Everything words fine with this unit except there is know back lit display and unless you are sitting directly in front of it you will have a hard time seeing the number. The room must be well lit to see the numbers. I sit about 3 feet from my rig and I could not see the number from an angle. Find something else with a light in the display, it adds to the cool factor.
