5 out of 5 eggsversatile usb powered fan

Pros: I use this fan to blow cooling air onto external hard drives while performing extended backups. It makes a huge difference in temp of the external drive cases. The cord winds up into a convenient reel to keep things tidy and it has never failed or gotten jammed. Can be quiet or moderately loud depending on the fan speed you select. Doesn't take much airflow to keep an external drive cool, however.

Cons: No cons so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Lowers the temperature of my Asus 1015E cpu's by 10+C and the hdd by 15+C in any every conditions. Speed controls, not that loud, has its own stand, seems quality.

Cons: The usb cord could have been split and had an extra slot, none otherwise.

5 out of 5 eggsDish & A/V Receiver Cooler

Pros: Speed Adjustment
USB Power

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I use 1 to cool my Dish DVR and one to cool my A/V receiver. Works great. Just turn the speed down to get it as quiet as you need. Plug a USB power adapter into the receiver's aux power and the fan turns on with the receiver.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for What I Needed

Pros: - Versatile
- Quiet enough at lower speeds
- Good cable length, with locking reel

Cons: - Noisy at high speed
- Can't be controlled by thought

Other Thoughts: I bought this fan because the shelf above my AV reciever is not high enough to keep the unit cool. Since moving it was not an option, I needed something to circulate the air. Enter the mobile case fan.

The first thing I liked about it was that it moved enough air to cool the receiver by itself. This was preferable to building a 3-fan block or something. This little guy does it all on his own.

The second thing I liked about it was that it plugs into a USB port. This lets me power it on one of the 5 million USB ports on my TV that I don't use.

Something I didn't think about when I bought it was how it would power on and off. Since my AV receiver comes on every time my TV does, I needed something that would do the same. Because this thing is powered off the TV, it only comes on when the TV is one (and, thus, the receiver) and shuts off when I turn off the TV.

Honestly, for the price, I couldn't be happier with it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent in every way

Pros: This fan is quiet, reliable, adjustable and inexpensive. Very nice reach on the adjustable locking retractor USB cable. The cable itself is very long and flat, so it is easy to slide it between objects and maximize utility. Very satisfied with all of them I have purchased.

Cons: None of which I am aware

Other Thoughts: I own 3 of these. Two at home to move air through a cabinet for my HTPC and gaming rig, one at work to circulate air under a counter in the server room. They work very well for this purpose. I have the one in my HTPC cabinet on full-tilt and I cannot hear it unless the room is totally silent. Even then it is audible, but only just so.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job but not as quiet as expected

Pros: I like the retractable USB cord and sturdy structure of the fan.

Cons: Noisier than expected.

Other Thoughts: I am using the fan to cool a wireless router that routinely gets overheated. The fan is freestanding underneath and behind the router, and it generates enough noise to be noticed, which I didn't expect from such a small fan.
