5 out of 5 eggsPricey but solid

Pros: -Excellent materials and build quality
-Looks great
-Ideal number of drives for 3 bay slot
-More than adequate cooling
-Fits easily in most cases

Cons: -Fan noise at full speed
-LED may be a bit bright for some
-Pricey

Other Thoughts: Just what the doctor ordered. Replaced 3 unused 5.25 external bays with 4x4TB hard drives. Now have usable space for 10(!) internal 3.5" drives in a MINI (not mid) tower case. Remarkable. Fans runs a little loud at speed but undervolted and spinning at ~600 RPM I hardly even know it's on. The best part? All four drives hover between 28 (idle) and 32 C under heavy usage, virtually identical to the temps they pulled while installed in the standard internal bays (with cooling).

Yes, their are cheaper options out there, but I've used this unit in three different cases and it's an absolute champ. Mounting brackets are well dampened (thick rubber bushings) and the build quality is top notch (solid aluminum construction). Highly recommended if you swing the $

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Fits my non silverstone case perfectly minus brands not matching. Bought 2 of these for a full tower and both fit great.

Cons: Collects dust, what PC component doesn't...

4 out of 5 eggsGreat cage, but with quirks

Pros: Great build quality. You have the ability to change the fan in the cage. The front panel looks amazing in black brushed aluminum.

Cons: I had some issues with the screws and the front panel (The black front piece of the cage). The screws (some of them) cross threaded inside of my drive while I was installing them, but they did not crossthread when screwing the screws in just the hard drive themselves (I checked to make sure I didn't use the wrong screws). One actually broke, forcing me to sand the broken screw of out the drive hole.

As for the front panel, check to see if you have these bent out tabs inside of your case that separates the 5.25" drive bays into single bays. My Cooler Master Sniper case has them (I think tooless drive cases have them as well). The front panel would not slide in fully because it hit these tabs (It stuck out by 1/4"). I had to cut the tabs off in order to fit the panel. It's not the drive cage's fault, but it is worth mentioning because it is a pain to deal with.

The aluminum part of the cage is a severe fingerprint magnet. Those weary of keeping the cage clean should wear gloves.

The fan is held in by four plastic pins. I wished that it was installed with screws in because I trust screws more than these pins.

Finally, the instruction manual isn't so great at explaining. I was trying to slide the side panels off, but realized you just pull them off (The manual just showed the panels off already, with no arrows indicating how to remove the side panels).

Other Thoughts: The included fan does an okay job of moving air, but I replaced it with a Corsair SP120 High Performance fan. I would recommend changing the stock fan with a fan with high static pressure (since it has to push air through the drives). The manual doesn't say how to do so, but all you do is unclip the black panel (There's clips on the side), then pull out the pins holding the stock fan in (You pull on the head of the pins and it pulls out).

I'm using this cage for a RAID array of four WD 4TB Red Drives.

1 out of 5 eggsLooks Nice

Pros: The unit looks nice and installs easy.

Cons: The Fan doesn't push hardly any air. When I first installed it the fan made horrible clicking sound. Ensured that Nothing was obstructing movement. Build quality does not live up to Silverstone's reputation. 10 Minute project ended up taking ~ 30 minutes.

Other Thoughts: I ended up removing the Unit and replacing the Fan. Now it looks great and actually pushes air. And I didn't have to deal with the RMA process just to replace the cheap Fan when I get a new one. If you are only going to include a cheap fan sell it as (NO FAN INCLUDED) And make the fan easily replaceable.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!

Pros: Love Love LOVE this thing. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have the Awesome Thermaltake Level 10 GT case from Newegg, for over a year now, and I was expanding my HDD capacity and looking for something like this device. I couldn't have dreamed one up better; it holds four 3.5 or 2.5" HDDs in a sturdy well cooled box.

The box looks awesome from the outside, and what's even better, while it holds 4 HDD's, it only takes up three 5.25" bays. Hence, in my standard 4 5.25" bay area on my PC case, I have this device and a DVD writer.

It just looks and works great. Buy a whole bunch.

Cons: Not. A. Thing.

Other Thoughts: I ran out of thoughts.

5 out of 5 eggsvery sleek

Pros: Fits perfectly with my silverstone ps05b, very sleek design.
Nice led's.

Cons: the bays are standard silver-grey color which does not match black interior cases. Fan doesn't push that much air.

Other Thoughts: makes my case look very beautiful.

5 out of 5 eggsFilling out a case

Pros: I bought this for my Antec 1200 case to fit more drives. The price was decent and it was instock at the time. It is nearly solid Aluminum construction but the front does have some very hard ABS Plastic. It fits either 3 or 4 drives with decent airflow. I was waiting on a drive to return from RMA and had 3 drives installed with the additional screw holes it allowed even airflow for 3 drives as well as when I installed 4 drives. This is slick looking and the Blue LED Fan pushes air evenly over the drives.

Cons: The main con of this item is the Price. I found that it doesn't quite fit my Antec 1200 case with some simple modifications I was able to install it.

Other Thoughts: I would love to buy 3 more and replace all of my drive cages but at this price I can not afford it.

5 out of 5 eggsA useful item

Pros: Very stout construction.

Cons: A little picky picky when you consider securing the entire cage to the outside of your 5.25 bays. In my Haf X case, I was able to get two on one side, sufficient because there was very little room to fit the thumbscrews onto the other side.

Also the Haf X's Toolless bay holder did not work well.

Other Thoughts: I used this device as a wind tunnel. I placed a Red led fan on the front (Saved the silver-stone fan as a spare) and place a stronger Excalibur fan super glued to the rear of the cube to "Pull-Pull" air very fast towards the video card and CPU cooler which removed a hot spot inside the case. I can always use it later as a hard drive cage when I add drives.
