5 out of 5 eggsNot too shabby

Pros: -I thought about ordering two but I'm glad I didn't, they give you a lot. Take measurements to be sure but unless your PC is the size of a small refrigerator you should be fine.
-Adhesive is strong yet can be pulled off cleanly if you want to realign.
-PC is quieter.

Cons: -None really. I wish it made my PC absolutely silent, but you can't expect a foam sheet to do that.

4 out of 5 eggsWould recommend

Pros: -Works well, while being thin
-After practice, easy to work with
-Makes a reasonable/noticeable reduction in noise
-Flexible, easy to cut or shape to desired dimensions
-Inexpensive, comes with a good amount for the price
-Can be stacked for greater effect

Cons: -Minor mistakes show up in a big way
-Hard to remove cleanly
-Stinks when freshly applied (Although this goes away in a day or so)

Other Thoughts: Overall I find this product to be quite valuable and I plan to buy more in the future. It should be noted that if you bend or fold the foam, it WILL crack or shred. I strongly recommend practicing how to mold or shape it before installing it. Believe me, it's worth the sacrificed 2" x 2" section to preserve the integrity of the remaining sheet(s).

Be 100% sure your measurements are BOTH correct and EASY to install-- if you have to fold the foam to get it into a crevice (Like I did) the foam WILL leave some scarring. If you make a mistake, and have to remove the foam, you will NOT be able to re-use the removed piece, as the foam peels away from the layer that directly touched the adhesive. You will have to scrape off the adhesive/foam leftovers, and I would recommend some cleaning solution to remove the sticky thereafter. Just be sure that you don't plan to remove it, and you'll be fine. And the product is cheap enough to where mistakes aren't necessarily catastrophic anyway. Just buy another pair, I plan to!

5 out of 5 eggsit's sticky

Pros: Good thickness, easy to cut, nice size sheets, very sticky.
This did improve acoustics the n my case a lot (side note-this does not and will not reduce decibels significantly though it did completely eliminate the harmonic him I was getting from my steel case). Also works great as an insulator, does help keep case warmer in cooler environments and cooler in warmer environments. I got a 4 degree Celsius drop in overall CPU, and chassis temps after installing when comparing identically ambient temperatures of 18 degrees Celsius.

Cons: Rips very easily. Not necessarily a con, but a definite nuisance when applying.

Other Thoughts: Very sticky! You must be patient when applying.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's foam

Pros: Just what I wanted.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's to line the insides of an old pair of Radio Shack Minimus 7 speakers. Along with a better crossover filter, I expect to hear some great sound out of these little wonders.

The foam arrived in a ginormous box. Made me laugh. It could have been rolled up...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat material.

Pros: Easy to work with, fairly thin compared to some others, but really cuts down noise.

Cons: Not much, just wish there was a little more to it, to completely cover a large case - both sides, top and bottom.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat way to finish off an already silent case

Pros: + Decent thickness (can be stacked if needed)
+ Very flexible and easy to handle
+ Knocked at few db off my build, from 33 to ~30db. And the top db, is around 45, which is great for me.
+ Can be used to seal the many nook and crannies that cases have. Like seams or punch holes for cable management and what not. If you want to make a positive pressure case, this can definitely be useful to avoid 'leaks' and make it easier to achieve it.

Cons: - Although the 'foam' itself is very easy to handle, the glue is very, very strong. Stronger than the foam's resistance/durability.

Other Thoughts: * Someone pointed out that there was a very bizarre smell coming from the foam. I too noticed this, but I simply left the foam out of it's package for a night with a fan running. Barely noticeable the next day, and I think at this point it's entirely gone.

* Be very mindful when applying it, as I mentioned in the cons, the glue is very strong, so it's easy for it to stick at an undesired location. If you are extremely careful you can unstick/try again. But be sure to measure properly and allow for some wiggle room, befcause it will be definitely hard to do 'perfect fit' in a tight spot, without having the strip stick to a surface as you are attempting to place it.

1 out of 5 eggsNope.

Pros: A good amount of material.

Cons: My computer fans are still noisy.

Other Thoughts: I've tried better fans, a watercooler for the processor, now sound dampening foam, I'm starting to think nothing will make my computer quieter...

5 out of 5 eggsDoes its job very well for the price

Pros: Considering it only costs $16, this foam suppresses noise exceptionally well when. This might be because I put it on almost everything in my case that was not a hole for ventilation or a part of a mounting apparatus(not in the interior of the bays).

Also, I covered a perforated mesh of the 5.25'' drive bay on the front of my case. However, I also added two very quiet fans with great CFM/noise(Enermax T.B. Silence). Lastly, my case was already somewhat quiet, but I purchased this because my graphics card has coil whine. Since it's toward the center of the case, the foam should serve to absorb its noise better than it would for case fans, which allow much of their sound to escape directly out of the case.

There was more than enough foam to cover absolutely all surfaces(not ventilation holes) of the interior of my mid-tower case, and even enough left to double up at least a quarter of it(which I did not do, since it would be a bit of a waste for my computer). For a full-tower case, there is still definitely enough to cover all or most of the interior.

Note that this is very probably not a sole solution to case noise.

Cons: None, really.

4 out of 5 eggsJust some "facts"

Pros: light weight, easy to use/cut.

Cons: Don't expect much, but maybe a little is all you need.

Other Thoughts: Real world test in a DVR. DVR at 3ft=58db. Installed on top lid, and much of the bottom and side as possible at 3ft=56db. Added other sheet to side of cabinet near fan at 3ft= 55db.

I was able to get a 3db reduction in noise at 3ft. Seems that's about the best you'll get.
