5 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: I live in a pretty dusty basement with a cat, I figured these filters would protect my investment. After a week of leaving my PC running overnight, I cleaned up a little and found that the filters have collected a good amount of dust, the components in the rig all look squeaky clean. The fact that they are magnetic makes them very modular and easy to place on the top of your PC if you set them up as intakes.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to set these filters up on the intakes of your push-pull system and you wouldn't want dust being pulled into you PC.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent product!

Pros: I have several of these, both 120mm and 140mm and they do an excellent job at keeping dust out of the case.

Cons: No complaints.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Balance between Dust & Airflow

Pros: These block a lot of dust. I have had 6 on my 6 intake fans, 5 140mm and one 120mm, on my modded spedo case, since 2/25/13. (3 filters on front, 140, 140 and 120 on top front in a custom kama bay replacing 3 optical drives, plus one bottom filter on 140 bottom intake, and two side filters, over two 140mm fans on the side cover - this spedo is not the one that came with a 200mm side cover intake fan.) Today I decided to wash the 6 filters (just run warm water from behind the filter to take off the dust - then hang to dry) as I could see quite a bit of dust buildup, and I am taking a week off from Tomb Raider. I also similarly washed the entire front baffle of the spedo - which has a sort of filter on it - but I don't rely on that - the 3 front intake fans each has one of these filters.

Cons: not much to complain about that I can think of - but maybe here's something:
my middle front fan on the spedo fits a slot that came with the case, and the fan protrudes from the case 3/8". The magnet on this fan of course won't stick to the plastic fan body - all the other 5 fan filters have metal to stick to. I couldn't really use the bolt holes, as the spedo came with a pass-through bolt holding on that center intake fan. But my former demciflex fans each came with a thin flexible piece of magnetized plastic or rubber material, the same size as the outer part of the filter, one side sticky. So I used one of those on the center fan itself, stuck to the fan body, trimming the sides a bit so the front case cover could snap on without any trouble, and the silver stone magnets stick to that - so the only negative I can think of is that the silverstone does not come with that type of thin plastic flexible piece - but they'd have to charge more if it did I guess.

Other Thoughts: In my former review of 8/5/2012 when I first bought one to test, I preferred the finer mesh of the Demciflex, which I originally installed on the spedo. And later I saw that Silverstone also came out with a very fine mesh fan. HOWEVER, there is a balance between airflow, and dust control. All filters reduce airflow a bit. The very fine mesh reduce airflow the most. In order to try to keep my case a "positive internal pressure" case, meaning dust would not want to come in through the various holes that every case has, with the very fine mesh filters, I had to actually put a speed reducer on my 200mm ceiling exhaust fan, because the intake fans were reduced by the fine mesh to the point that I didn't really have internal case pressure anymore. Finally, not completely happy with my temps, this past spring I decided to swap out the very fine mesh, for 6 of these silverstone, on 2/25/13. My temps improved, I took the reducer off the ceiling exhaust and still had positive internal case pressure, and I think I achieved a better balance between good airflow, and catching MOST of the dust, but not the very fine particles. You can't have your cake and eat it too - you have to compromise sometimes, lol.

Pros: I bought this specifically for my PSU vent on my case, just to keep dust out. Works like a charm and have no regrets.

5 out of 5 eggsFilter Dust

Pros: 1. Filter Dust
2. Look Durable
3. Has a nice design

Cons: 1. A little bit pricey
2. Hinders the airflow

Other Thoughts: Its a good dust filter no complaint it hinders a little bit of the air but it is expected no dust filter can fix that

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: - Covers a 140mm fan.
- Magnets are decently strong.

Cons: - Holes are passthrough only; you need a fan to be on the other side if you are using the screws.
- If screwing into the outside of a side panel (which probably has recessed screw holes), the sides bow out a bit.
- The mesh could be smaller.

Other Thoughts: I'm using these to cover a case side intake fan on one case, and an empty side intake grill on another case. For both, I just attached them to the side of the case using the built-in magnets, and they hold fine.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice design, magnetic but still has holes for mounting with the fan if desired

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Magnets are a decent strength so there's no need to screw them into the chassis. Well made product.
