5 out of 5 eggsFront USB3

Pros: 2 front USB3 ports
2 internal 2.5" hdd bays

Cons: Only 2 front USB3 ports when there are punch outs for 4 total.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this product to mount a laptop 2.5" drive in my desktop and to add USB3 ports to the front of my tower. The drive fits and there are screw holes for a second drive. The USB3 ports have a 19 pin connector that my motherboard did not have so I also purchased a USB3 card with the right connection internally. The USB3 speeds are the same as the USB3 on the back of my motherboard. The appearance of this product is black textured matte finish and 2 blue USB3 ports with 2 more punch outs that I assume can be used to add 2 more USB ports.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Front Port

Pros: Front port access for USB 3.0 is a real convenience. The device fits into an unused floppy disc opening. contains two 2.5 inch drive bays on the inside, which is also a plus. One less thing to buy. The USB connection is modular and plugs into the motherboard easily. It appears that the USB 3.0 ports can be moved to the left instead of the right side, but if you move them the drive bays will become inaccessible, still, it can be done. Knock outs present in the front panel.

Cons: Nice brass grommets for the screws are not completely flush with the sides of the device, they extend out a fraction of a millimeter making the device a much tighter fit than it would otherwise be (thus 4 stars instead of 5).

Other Thoughts: Nice device. You get two benefits with one device: USB 3.0 ports and 2.5 in internal drive bays. The plastic quality is good, not rigid and breakable.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap Plastic with metal Insert nuts

Pros: One USB port works. OK exterior finish.

Cons: One USB port does not work. Cheap plastic item. Not worth $20 to be sure.

Other Thoughts: USB3 is cool - this item appeared to be a good item - it is however cheap plastic with metal insert bolts (mounts for the screws). Not worth $20 and I certainly would not mount HDs in it. To add insult to injury - only one of the two ports work. Just a FYI for prospective buyers.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little space filler!

Pros: 2 USB 3.0 ports, lightweight and very airflow friendly, free's up TWO of my 3.5" internal bays now since I dont have to use the SSD adapter plates and can fit them both into 1 external 3.5" slot! That right there is worth $20 to me, the high speed USB ports is just a really nice bonus!

Cons: I wish it was setup that I could put the ports on either side I wanted...not really a knock on them but it doesnt match my case ports, but it looks WAY better than the cover plate I had stuffed into the external slot to cover the whole an old floppy drive left. (had to have one for an old raid setup drivers)

Other Thoughts: out of all the pc stuff I just recently upgraded, this was probably my favorite...its cheap, very effective, efficiently uses space (not to mention freeing up a ton of other space) and it matches the rest of my case! I got lucky and stumbled upon this looking for a multireader to fill the slot but this is so much better for my setup than a card reader I would never use.
