1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work on Mac

Pros: None

Cons: Does not work on my Mac Mini with OS X 10.6.3.

Other Thoughts: I recommend that you buy a more expensive competitor's product with free shipping. Then if it doesn't work, it's worth returning for a refund.

4 out of 5 eggsNot What I Was Looking For

Pros: It lights up, and I'm sure it works if used for its intended purpose.

Cons: I didn't realize I needed a PS/2 to USB adapter, not a USB to PS/2 adapter. I have a keyboard that has a PS/2 cord; in order to use it with my Mac I need an adapter that goes the opposite direction than this one does. So if you are trying to use a USB device with a PC that only has PS/2 ports, then this will work. If you are trying to use a PS/2 device with a Mac or other computer that has only USB ports, then you need a different adapter.

Other Thoughts: I gave this 4 stars, because I'm sure it works wonderfully; I just didn't have the knowledge to know to order something else. Now I do, and hopefully this helps others avoid buying something they don't need.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Works great for both ps2 keyboards and ps2 mice. Indicator light on USB end.
Color Coded to avoid confusion.

Cons: Price. This is a simple ps2 to USB adapter. I don't think it should be this expensive. These are very useful and I would have bought a lot more if they were cheaper. I could see something like this going for at most $1.99.

Other Thoughts: The place where I work has a ton of mice and keyboards, but they are all ps/2. None of them have USB connections. None of the newer computers have ps2 connections, so I picked up this adapter to use with the old keyboards and mice. I just don't understand a simple adapter like this going for $6.99. Something like this should be at the most $1.99. I would have purchased a bunch more if they were cheaper. They are very useful, though, and they work great.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Allows to hook older style keyboard and mouse to usb connections

Cons: Failed to recognize the keyboard after about 3 months limited use. Perhaps another brand might work, but this brand isn't worth spending money on.

2 out of 5 eggsMixed bag

Pros: Sort of works, but not for my purpose.

Cons: It will not work with my KVM. I have 2 others that work fine, but they are a different brand. If you use a KVM, try a different brand.

1 out of 5 eggsUSB end falls out from server

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: USB side 'falls' out from server side jack...what's with that?

Other Thoughts: Don't buy if you plan on using it with a Proliant Server. At the slightest touch it falls out.

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not support all keyboard's key

Pros: .

Cons: I have Inland PS2 keyboard that have 19 extenstion keys at the top. BYTECC BT-2000 supports only one extension key out of 19. Four other keys generate
keycodes that dublicate another keys. Other extension keys generate
no keycode at all, i.e. using plain English, do not work.

5 out of 5 eggsGood to have

Pros: USB plug and play

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Good to have in your tech-box for those times where you're in the need of using "that" keyboard or mouse.
