Pros: None. This cable being sold through NewEgg is a Chinese knockoff of Prolific's chips. It's not worth filling out a RMA for such a cheap converter, but I thought I would save someone the trouble. I'd look at some other brands.

Other Thoughts: Disappointed this cable passed NewEgg's quality control.

Pros: works flawless with winds7 x64 once you install the proper drivers which took me a bit to find since the drives on the disk are totally useless

Cons: none does exactly what it's suppose to do

Cons: Does not work with current Prolific drivers. Error code 10 is reported which Prolific states is due to the use of counterfeit chips. This cable is basically worthless.

Pros: "Used" to be a good cable.

Cons: Now using a counterfit Prolific chip that does NOT work!

Buyer beware.

Other Thoughts: Oh no !!! Another "reliable" USB-serial cable bites the dust. Installing any driver with this cable now reports "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" error in Device Manager.

Pros: Worked fine on 32 bit Windows.

Cons: Had to search for 64 bit drivers - drivers on Bytecc site were of no use. Drivers on Prolific site did work after trying all PL2303 versions.

Other Thoughts: Next time, I'll buy a "name brand" converter that already has 64 bit drivers.

Pros: nice looking cable and comes with an adapter

Cons: It does not work, the little disc that comes with the cable is as good as a little frisbee my kids can toss around. Tried every which way to get this to upload the driver but not a thing....

Other Thoughts: I just moved so no internet at my house yet so I hope when it gets connected I can download an updated driver to get this working but as a stand alone this is a waste of money.

Pros: Works good with cisco switches. Another reason I got this was to test out to see if it'll also work with my Foundry switch and it does work with that. I'm just posting this just in case someone out there was wondering because I had a hard time locating one that worked.

Other Thoughts: I used the drivers from the website instead of using the driver cd that came with it (I generally don't trust these).

Pros: Plug in a null modem adapter, and you have instant serial console. Plug a bunch of them into a USB hub, and you have a cheap remote console for as many systems as you need.

Cons: Could use a couple of LEDs to indicate traffic over the connection.

Pros: Nice color, came with the 25 pin adapter

Cons: The mini-cd "driver cd" was BLANK!!

Other Thoughts: Well, it looked sturdy enough. I bought it, but then I got sidetracked. I finally tried to use it tonight..the mini CD was blank! Windows 7 64 bit Premium kept giving me error that the drivers were not found! I'm over in Iraq, and since this thing was about $11.00, I'm not sweating it..I'll mess with it a bit and see what happens..but a BLANK CD??? Geesh! Oh, guess where it's made...
