4 out of 5 eggsThe EL wire doesn't stay lit forever.

Pros: This is a very cool cable when it lights up - gives a tad bit of character to your system.

Cons: Where there's a good thing, a bad thing usually follows. I've had this in my custom build for over a year now, and the EL wire no longer lights up. I'd say I noticed that it wasn't as bright as it started about 4 - 6 months into use.

Other Thoughts: It still transmits data for the floppy drive, but I've docked an Egg for the wire going out over time. Has proven to be the cheapest thing in my entire build. I'd recommend getting a normal floppy cable over the fancy 'light-up' ones if they're just going to fade over time. Save yourself some money.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's *NOT* LED!

Pros: It's a cord. It does the job for a friend of mine.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I'd like to point out that I do not personally own this cord, but have seen it in person and used a rig with it. I'd also like to point out to the few people who mentioned that the "LEDs weren't very bright". This cord is not, let me repeat; *NOT* lighted with LEDs. It's EL (Electro-Luminescent) wire. The inverter is to supply the proper voltage to the wire, which I would assume in this application is about 24v. This also means that a "Resistor change" will not make it brighter, and I urge anybody NOT familiar with EL components to leave it alone!

Please note and LEARN this difference! LEDs and EL components are NOT the same thing!

3 out of 5 eggsNOT AS BRIGHT AS THE PICTURE

4 out of 5 eggsGreat little cable

Pros: - Short enough to not add too much clutter
- Blue LED matches fan LEDs in case
- Unique

Cons: - Not really that bright which is kind of disappointing as it's a really great idea.

Other Thoughts: Would be perfect if it were just a bit brighter. Could probably change that with a resistor swap in the power box but for price it's pretty good.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Floppy Cable

Pros: This is a cool looking cable and it's easy to install. It's also brighter then I thought it would be when I read the reviews here. It's not bright enough to read by, only bright enough to light up the floppy cable, and the cable is silver, which adds to the effect.

Cons: The cable is a different, slightly lighter color of blue than the Antec 900 case. It would have been nice if it matched better, but then I might be too picky.

Other Thoughts: This is not really a con, so I will put it in this part of the review. The cable has (of course) a transformer and a molex connector. That I already new going in. However I did not understand that the transformer must receive airflow. That means if you intend to hide it behind something, it cannot get too much heat. I found a good spot in my case, but you will want to consider this before you purchase if your case is running warm, or you don't have much room.

4 out of 5 eggsGood IDE Cables But Not Bright As The Photo

Pros: The LED IDE Cables is a good look for the tower , specially if you have a window side panel. Good style to your computer

Cons: Not as bright as the photo on newegg.

Other Thoughts: I give it a 4.3 rating
