Other Thoughts: I bought a mobo specifically for the ide port, I see no good reason to waste a sata port on dvd drive, and this cable makes it so much cleaner in my case, bonus it has 3 connectors so I can use dvd drives with one port, and still have all 10 of my sata ports for storage... Other Thoughts: Have two IDE HDDs hooked up with this cord to my computer. A little tricky but had to go in bois and set my HDDs to the IDE as storage and my main one to IDE (boot drive) Otherwise computer kept trying to boot off my IDE drives hooked up with this cord. Connects securely. Cons: None. Other Thoughts: They do what I need them to do. My drives are connected with nice looking cables and my case doesn't have those big flat gray cables that block air taking up space. Nothing to complain about at all. NOTE: While not stiff they are not as flexible as a nice SATA cable they were not stiff either. It is not so much a con as something you should be aware of. Seem like they work ok. Worked for me for a few weeks on striped array then failed. Since they worked for weeks, I did not suspect the cable, until recently. anderson1295 2/22/2009 5:52:02 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 4/5It's a cable... Pros: It works. It is round. It looks OK if that matters to you. Cons: The ends are a bit on the dodgy side. Also, these things are extremely thick and a bit on the stiff side. -1 egg for the end caps and stiffness. Cables need to be bent, twisted, and contoured to fit many different needs. Cables of this type should be easy to shape as to reduce strain on components. Not sure what the design intent was for making them this stiff... Other Thoughts: The outer caps for the ends of the cable are not attached to the IDE connectors in any way (leaving the small wires exposed creating a "sloppy" look to them). If you were so inclined, I suppose you could glue them if needed (although I can't be bothered by this). I just wanted round cables for airflow, I don't care too much what they look like - so long as they work. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? Looks good and is decently priced for what you get. Cons: Like others have stated, it is a little stiff. A little bending back and forth helps this(not too much!). The caps come off the ends really easily too. Other Thoughts: Works for those who need a way to free up space for airflow and upgrades in a small case. Worth the price anytime!
