Pros: Great product to protect any electrical component. I live in an area with lots of "brown outs"-where suddenly there is a large electrical draw (from a nearby dairy farm) that results in the lights dimming significantly and the power almost going out on a daily basis. Since investing in this little unit, I am no longer replacing electrical components!

Cons: NONE.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth it!

Pros: Work exactly as intended!
Clicking noise is not as loud as people say
Heavy & Well Made
4 Slots are enough

Cons: Wish the power button was on the back, I've accidentally kicked it before

Other Thoughts: Very happy I bought this. It's summer and I have an AC in my room and every once in a while the AC has a quirky moment and grabs more juice for a second and my APC kicks in. It's a huge piece of mind for my new video editing computer and a few other things connected.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic for location recording!

Pros: I picked up one of these (really the previous model, the Line-R 1200VA) several years ago to deal with flaky power systems out on the road. Many venues in NYC (particularly churches) have unreliable voltages with ConEd supplying 121-123V. Anyway I used this to combat the problems and it solved every one. If it's the same as the Line-R, it also has an indicator on the rear to tell you when outlets are incorrectly wired (find another one!).

Yes the relay clicks to switch operating modes and no there isn't anything you can do about it except make sure it's isolated from your mics.

Cons: This unit is not lightweight, but I wouldn't expect it to be.
The power switch is uncovered and could be inadvertently switched off with a tap of a toe (I put GAF tape over it). Also the strain relief on the molded power cable eventually comes loose with a lot of wear. I continuously used mine for years and stored it in the bottom of a cable case so it's not surprising.

Other Thoughts: Beware: I stored mine in a Pelican case, moved 1500 miles and then left it for months. It blew up in the same way a battery would in the same conditions. It put some sort of nasty chemicals all over everything in the case. I doubt anyone else would do this but beware it can happen if you store it like this.
I'm purchasing another one to replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well- Rock solid voltage

Pros: My 46" Toshiba (from newegg in 2009) no longer turns off by itself!

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Wish it created electricity from thin air and eliminated by electric bill...... Guess I want too much-

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Holds voltage rock steady. My 46" LCD no longer turns off randomly!

Cons: I ordered two and one came with the bottom smashed in. UPS told me to contact Newegg first. I have already printed the $25 !!! RMA ticket, but was hoping to get UPS to foot the bill.

Other Thoughts: They are great products if they get to your door unharmed.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes its job well

Pros: I chose this power protection for my gaming system, speakers and printer. My house was built in the 50's and has some very aged wiring which causes supplied voltage to regularly exceed 120V. This unit helps me to have some better peace of mind about the purity of electricity reaching my goods. Great protection for the money if you dont need a backup system.

Cons: Wish it had just one more power plug... other than that, no complaints.

Other Thoughts: Have an overclocked gaming rig, 22" monitor, high end Klipsch 2.1 speaker setup and an all in one printer hooked up to this and it handles it all with ease. Good job, APC.

5 out of 5 eggsYour Awesome System needs this!

Pros: Does an amazing job of evening out the incoming voltage for the price.

Cons: Makes a fairly loud clicking noise when it switches between internal capacitors and line voltage, but I don't mind at all. This helped me to realize when there is a voltage event occurring and has helped me track down wiring problems in the house.

Other Thoughts: I'm a computer enthusiast, online gamer, AND a licensed electrician. This little thing is absolutely awesome in what it does for the price. You shouldn't even be considering a $20 surge protector for your new gaming system when you could have this instead. A surge protector will catch hard spikes, but this unit maintains line voltage within a very tight tolerance filtering out HIGHS AND LOWS (brownouts), the dips are just as deadly to your PSU and absolute poison to overclockers as there is no way to maintain rock steady rail voltage when your incoming voltage just dipped 10%. Unlike a UPS this unit will only bridge you through short events, if you work with critical data you need a UPS but otherwise this is incredible protection for the money. I can't recommend it highly enough.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent product

Pros: Powering a large xerox printer it kicks in boosting voltage on startup. Seems to use a step up or step down transformer to correct voltage.

Cons: Noticeable clicking noise when correcting voltage but this is how it works.

Other Thoughts: Definately worth the price.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: High Capacity for fairly cheap price

Cons: None really, it clicks when it

Other Thoughts: this is not a ups, it will help brownouts but not blackouts.
