2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It was only 14 bucks.

Cons: I have had two of these cables and both have failed me. The last straw was when one of the cables failed me on a mobile shoot.

They fail because both are too loose on the 4 pin end. Both cables have that problem.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The short length and high shielding allowed me to have a really great video capture on my computer.

Cons: It was a bit expensive.

Other Thoughts: I used this cable to connect my DV camcorder to my computer and edit home movies - the movies looked fantastic with sharp colors, great sound, and smooth movement. Although most of it was probably the camera's doing, this cable undoubtedly enabled a great digital copy.

4 out of 5 eggsThree More Feet Would Be Nice

Pros: It's a cable. It works.

Cons: Would be nice if Belkin sold a 6' cable because 3' just barely makes it.

Other Thoughts: People with connections on the back of their computer (most people, I have a G5) are forced to put their cameras right next to their computer, not on their desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsGet er done

Comments: Mighty fine cable. Was having trouble with my camera connecting through standard USB2.0 so I decided to take advantage of a beautiful thing called firewire. Fast, reliable, this cable gets it done. 0 dropped frames for nearly 2 hours of homemade video rendering. You can get better cables, but why pay more when you get good quality for such a great price.

Even got it a day early (newegg=my hero). If I had reason to, I would definately get this again.
