3 out of 5 eggsIt's USB 1 not USB 2

Pros: It's basically a 1 port USB hub on the end of a 5 meter wire.

Cons: It is NOT USB 2, it is USB 1. That's 12 MBit/sec. On many devices, that will be a huge bottleneck. For a mouse or keyboard or a legacy device that is only USB 1, this will work fine for you. For a USB 2 wireless or wired network card or a scanner, it will be much slower than USB 2. Think of how a network card trying to do 100 MBit ethernet or 54 MBit 802.11g would do on the end of a device that can only go 12 MBit...

Other Thoughts: Buy only if you are ok with USB 1 speed

5 out of 5 eggsIts long and has small wire.

Pros: Its long.

Cons: 16 feet of 28 guage wire can't be good for transfer speed. Good for scanners and printers.

Other Thoughts: Don't expect a fast transfer speed. and Don't connect something thats powered by the usb port. because unless this cable uses 20AWG or larger you're going to have a major voltage drop for anything using more than 50mA

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works well. Allowed me to connect an HP Scanjet more than 16 feet away.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This cable has worked with every device I have tried, except my wireless G USB NIC. In that case, putting a four port hub at the device end of this cable and plugging the wireless NIC into the hub allowed it to work.
