4 out of 5 eggsCheap Shell/Case

Pros: Works like a champ even after the joint broke.

Cons: The shell of the product should be made of a much harder material. The vary first time I bumped it the joint fell apart.

Other Thoughts: Though the joint broke it made no difference to me as I just needed a shorter USB cord coming out of my USB port. So I removed the full case vary easily and placed silicone over the ends to protect the soldered wires from braking off.

3 out of 5 eggsUseful, but not rugged

Pros: This are very useful for connecting things like wireless mouse transceivers to a laptop.

Cons: They are not rugged. I've used up 3 of them in the last several years. The problem may be that a thin cable connects the end connectors, and eventually fails.

Other Thoughts: When I first bought one @ Radio Shack, it was by a company other than Belkin, and cost $5. Appears to be the exact same thing - now $10 or $11.

5 out of 5 eggsUltra-Handy

Pros: Awesome for running USB cables the direction you WANT them to go, instead of an inflexible 90-degree path away from your laptop. Critical for when I'm on stage performing music and have to cram a lot of gear on a too-small cocktail table.

Cons: Wish it was just a little smaller so it wouldn't come out from the USB port as much... but I'm talking about under an inch, so it's not a major complaint.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: These things are great. It's basically a little USB extender with an articulated joint in the middle. The joint swivels +/- 180 degrees in two axes, so you can fit USB dongles in a very small space. I use them on the front of the machine for the wireless dongles for mice/keyboards. I also use one on the back of a machine to hold a USB smart card fob, so I can fold it up next to the PC and move it a little closer to the wall.

Cons: A bit expensive for what they are.

Other Thoughts: These are aimed at the notebook market, where you might have USB ports so close together that one device blocks an adjacent port. But I think they also work great for USB devices that you leave plugged in on a desktop machine.

5 out of 5 eggsS'alright

Pros: Perfect for when you want to free-up a USB slot from being blocked by bulky dongles. It even helps tidy things up a bit when said ports are on the side of your laptop instead of the back.

Cons: Its not really useful for angling wifi adapters as that's more of a distance issue than angle issue. The construction seems a bit flimsy, but it hasn't failed me yet. Just don't end-up breaking it.
