Pros: Plug and play. If you do not have the drivers, they are3 all over the web. If you cant find drivers, maybe you should not but this device. It may be over your head. We use it for attaching serial port scales to COE machines running Windows 7, 32bit. We have some running 64bit also, with total success. I tried several others but with no or less success. The diagnostic lights are very helpful. the main reason I chose this model. Its always good to know what I have data flow when some part of a workstation stops working.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: New egg is cheaper buy $5 to more than $10 over other sellers!

Pros: Belkin products were recommended to me as being the best brand for this type of USB to RS-232 conversion.

Cons: Although there is no indication of this on NewEgg, this product does not come with any drivers for 32-bit Windows OS nor are there any available on the Belkin web site.

Other Thoughts: Belkin web site claims that they have another similar product (F5U257) that does have 64-bit drivers. Why on earth don't they just make a 64-bit driver for this product?

5 out of 5 eggsPurchased for my radio

Pros: Purchased this item to connect to my radio. Once I learned how to reset my radio to prepare it for the serial/usb work, it worked like a charm. The cable adapter I bought from Newegg did not hold me back.
