Pros: I've tried the cheapies, and this is the only one thay does what you want. Currently on a KVM and works with all

Cons: If you can't make it work, then reboot

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Had this bad boy in place for over a year now on my work PC. I use one on each end of my switcher box as I have two PC's connected to one set monitors and with this I only need one mouse and one keyboard to control both PC's. Installed it once and have never had to think about it again!

Cons: Non works great!

2 out of 5 eggsGood for Linux, Not so good for Windows

Pros: Works great with newer PC's and an old KVM switch if running Linux.

Cons: Cannot get Windows 7 to recognize either the mouse or keyboard. Kinda expensive not to work with Windows.

Other Thoughts: My trusty KVM swithc has PS2 connectors for mouse and keyboard. New motherboards have no PS2 connectors or at best one connector. Needed this for a newer mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsNo real complaints

Pros: Connected a PS/2 keyboard to USB port after PS/2 port stopped working. Windows 7 recognized it and the keyboard worked. Tested if I could get into BIOS with it and it worked perfectly. PS/2 cable went into the female connecter fairly securely so I doubt it will fall out on its own, at least probably not from just the weight of some of the keyboard cable. It is nice that two PS/2 cables can go into one USB port.

Cons: If the cable on the keyboard or mouse being used is pulled enough I expect it would come lose but it is unreasonable to expect otherwise. I am wondering why it costs as much as it does.

Other Thoughts: After owning this adapter for several years (purchased elsewhere) I finally had a reason to open the package and use it. I am wondering what about it makes it cost what it does though.
