5 out of 5 eggsLooks Are Deceiving

Pros: This unit works as advertised. I had a requirement to repair an old computer whose power supply was diagnosed as failing. I wanted to get a new 400W power supply, trouble is, could only find one with a 24-pin connection to the motherboard. This old computer had a 20-pin connection. The RCW-303 made the connection, allowing a cool new power supply to be used in an old application.

Cons: This really isn't a con - the picture of this unit on the Rosewill site and Newegg's as well, showed a 20-pin connector on one end, 24-pin on the other. Right - just what I needed. Upon arrival, both ends appeared to have 24 pins, not as pictured. Upon close examination, the 4-pin end on one of the connectors slides up and off, making it a 20-pin connector, which does work on the 20-pin motherboard. Kind of like some of the 20+4 connectors you see on some power supplies. You just leave the 4-pin subunit dangling, unused.

Other Thoughts: Newegg service (I just subcribed to the Premier Membership) was fantastic, and has to be mentioned here. Super responsive, wanting to help get my misunderstanding about the number of pins resolved, it was great! I got right through on the priority line and was given red carpet service.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Just what I need when there wasn't enough room for my 24 pin plug.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Usually you wouldn't need this 24p to 20p converter because you could just leave the extra 4 pins on the outside. If there is not enough room in that area on the board you will need this. For me, my Ide plug was right next to it. There wasn't even a half of an inch of space on the sides. I had to get this for the exact 20p fit.

5 out of 5 eggs24 pin to 20 pin works great

Pros: This worked out great, especially with the new power supplies, it is hard to find a 20 pin connector.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsdoes what it needs to

Pros: Take my 24 pin power supply and extends the cable so it can fit into an older motherboard that only accepts 20 pins.

Cons: no shrouding over the cable. I'm getting spoiled with high end power supplies...lol

Other Thoughts: I know a 24 pin power cable can be plugged directly into a 20 socket but in my case there are capacitors that sit way to close and I didn't want to bend them, also the added length allows my to run the cable a little better through my HTPC case.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill 7.8" power supply to motherboard cable

Pros: Nothing special. Does what it should do!

Cons: Its a little long a 3'' cable would have been better!

Other Thoughts: Get It if you have a new power supply that has 24 pins with an older motherboard that has 20 pins!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: My old power supply was acting a bit flakey, so I decided to go to a retailer in town that happens to be going out of business. I picked up an 850 watt Cooler Master for cheap and unfortunately I didn't realize that it was a 24-pin instead of a 20+4 pin connector. This is exactly what I needed to get my system going again and I couldn't be happier.
