5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I somehow broke the part that the sata cable slides onto on my hard drive. It would work its way loose now and then. This was an easy fix.

Cons: Not knowing if the data cable supports 6Gbps

Other Thoughts: Still worth the fix

3 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Cable lenghts are great and this is a cost effective way to upgrade without replacing the power supply.

Cons: Quality is less than great one of the molex pins pushed out of the plastic housing when connecting it. Easy enough to fix but unnecessary with a little better quality control.

Other Thoughts: I got what I paid for and overall they seem to perform well enough.

4 out of 5 eggsThe other half

Pros: I got a 2.5 SATA dock that I wanted with a card reader...This was a shell shocker deal and not worth the $ to send back as I had a circuit issue with the SATA reader, so I ordered a "SATA power & data combination Y cable" and with a little modification I carefully removed the female SATA port on the original device and epoxied the combo's port in that spot. It now has separate SATA data and power cables to the motherboard. It is now a card reader and a 2.5 SATA dock.

Cons: Removal of the original SATA port disabled that portion of the original device and now the little LED light does not show if the SATA is connected. The half-life of the card reader may be shortened also after the alteration.

Other Thoughts: I did this because the computer powered up with this device fully connected. I tried various connection scenarios prior to writing the earlier review and found that the card reader would work without the SATA power cord attached. With a little ingenuity I now have an actual SATA dock, a card reader, and a Windows OS that work without effecting the PC power circuit.

Pros: One connector on drive for both power and SATA interface (nice and secure).

Cons: SATA cable is long, but better long than short.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for defined useage

Pros: Does what it needs to do. SATA cable is long, But hey, that's better than being too short. Gives You more options in where to mount Your drives.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For less than 4 bucks to the front door, A very good value.
At this price I may keep a couple on hand. As Friends and Family move to SATA drives.

3 out of 5 eggsWould have been great

Pros: This PSU had plenty of Power connectors including 2 pci express, and i like that they were all wrapped to avoid cable clutter.

Cons: It was a DOA Unit, but I got a better deal on another PSU at my local Micro Center. The SATA Connectors are CHEAP! Be very careful when plugging your Hard Drives in, it feels like its gonna break the connector.

Other Thoughts: Kudos to Newegg for making the RMA process very easy.

5 out of 5 eggssimply works

Pros: allows using sata mb and drives on a power supply that oes not have sata power connectors

Cons: .

Other Thoughts: for such a simple item i am not sure why they have a disposable boot over the mb end of the cable.
