5 out of 5 eggsGood cable

Pros: This cable does what I need it to do. It is the advertised 14ft. and is, in fact, a crossover cable (CAT6 UTP).

I have been using it for about a day and haven't had any problems thus far.

Cons: None at this point.

Pros: cheap, durable

Other Thoughts: Just picked this up to have one in case I need it. Looking to expand network so this will come in handy in the near future. Also good for connecting directly with other pc's ;)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very simple cable for transferring large amounts of data between machines, doesn't require a router or any adapters aside from an ethernet port in each machine.

Cons: Getting two machines to talk to each other can be a little difficult, not really a fault of the cable though.

Other Thoughts: Taking full advantage of the cable may require a faster ethernet adapter than your computer has (my desktop came with a 100mbit adapter on the motherboard) but a decent gigabit adapter is fairly cheap and easy to install, and makes file transfers a breeze.
