Rosewill RAD-RU-IEEE800-9P-6P Adapter

Pros: Low cost, gets the job done, whitish coloration matches other Apple cables.

Cons: The adapter is a bit on the chunky side. I'm using a "Late 2011" Macbook Pro where the ports are spaced very closely together. It's a very tight fit to have the Firewire plugged in alongside a Thunderbolt peripheral, and it looks like it would be similarly tight to get an ethernet cable plugged in. It works, but it's right up against my Thunderbolt connector...

Other Thoughts: Excellent adapter for the majority of people, I'd imagine. Macbook Pro users, it might be worth your while to go with a thinner adapter, or pony up for the Moshi adapter.

Pros: Plugs in and works just dandy for using my 6-pin iSight in my 9-pin iMac. Instantly recognized, no problem.

Cons: The mother ain't bright white like all the rest of the plugs in the back of my computer, but it is in the back, so...who cares?

Other Thoughts: Looks a bit weird with the metal on the outside of the 6-pin portion, but it works.

Pros: I wanted to connect my newer macbook pro with firewire 800 to another mac with the older firewire 400 port. This adapter works perfectly for that.

Cons: None that I can see.

Pros: It works.

Other Thoughts: I gave it a four because it's a bit wobbly in my macbook pro slot, but probably nothing to worry about.
