5 out of 5 eggsGig'n With Rose

Pros: CAT-7 cable is now THE standard for Ethernet cable - it is not only ISO Certified, but meets TIA/EIA-568-B.2-10 Specifications. It is backwards compatible with CAT5,and CAT-6.
It is shielded with twisted pairs and has far less interfearance and free from crosstalk and download packet error loss.
It has also boosted my download speed to 358/390 bps in a little town of 13,000 and that is a Big Deal here.
The cable is stiffer and seems to take a little longer to become unwound from the package, but that is only temporary. The boost is seriously worth the upgrade in cable.
The thing i like about Rosewill is the quality. The cable is made well and the none snag clips are a Real Plus in my book.

Cons: Stiffer than other cable like CAT-5 and CAT-6, but it is just better cable.

Other Thoughts: The increase in speed will not be noticed unless you connect the wires with the PC turned OFF and you reboot the Router and Modem.
This is a Must to have the units recognize the new cable(s) as a true Speed Demon and if you have Gigabit LAN Router and Modem and on your PC as most do now you will see the increase in speed ASAP

5 out of 5 eggsNot much to say

Pros: These cables worked, not really a lot to say. I swapped out a bunch of old random CAT5/6 cables. These look good, and have solid connectors. Transfer speeds stayed the same, but I have an older router.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I bought 4 and while all were at least 7 ft. They varied by a couple inches.

Pros: Great network cable, decent price

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Since there is no standard set for CAT 7 at the moment, still a good buy and good quality

5 out of 5 eggsVery good cable...but CAT 7?

Pros: Thick, easy to work with, shielded and never had a bad one.

Cons: No actual CAT 7 certification exists, so who knows if this is simply "ultra super CAT 6"...not a knock on the product which is top notch...not offered in 200ft solid conductor variety...

Other Thoughts: Product uses gold plated metal RJ45 connectors and EMI braided shielding under the PVC jacket. Supposed to be very EMI resistant, but have not had the pleasure/displeasure of confirming this. I always overbuild everything, so why not buy this cable over something without shielding? Prices are the same. I wished Rosewill would supply 200ft solid conductor (as opposed to stranded) versions of this cable--I would use this stuff exclusively for installs with long cable runs.
