1 out of 5 eggsUseless

Pros: 1000'

Cons: It is so cheaply made that it does not work in any punch down jacks. Totally useless and no I can't return it.

Other Thoughts: Don't bother with cheap Cat6 buy the premium stuff and stay satisfied

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Cable

Pros: Great speeds
Reliable
Works as intended

Cons: Was kind of hard to terminate due to the plastic divider in the middle of the cable.

Other Thoughts: I am overall really happy with the cable but was very frustrated when trying to put ends on them just because of the plastic divider in the middle of the cable.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible!!!

Pros: Flexible housing makes pulling through conduit easier

Cons: Plastic pull cylinder doesn't stay in box, making it impossible to pull cable properly without getting twists in the cable. First 150's (2x 75' lengths) ended up with a break somewhere in the cable. The individual wires are more plastic than copper making them EXTREMELY hard to work with in keystones or crimp ends.

Sadly I though that this would be a good deal. It was too good to be true!

I'm not sure who tested this product before putting it to market. They obviously didn't care. I hate having my time and money wasted on things like this.

I highly recommend just spending the extra $100 on something decent rather than wasting ones time with this pile of junk.

5 out of 5 eggsPlastic Divider, gigabit speeds

Pros: Cable was inexpensive and available. Just crimped the first set of connections after pulling it haphazardly through the basement clutter. Pulled easily, no kinks, and crimped just as easy. There is a plastic spacer for Cat 6 present- which has to be cut free prior to inserting into plugs. Hardware recognized it as gigabit and have not seen too high transmission errors.

Cons: None that I have seen so far.

Other Thoughts: With as much variability as there is in the reviews one might conclude there are various batches of this cable in existence. As of now, even though it is 26 AWG, I'd certainly consider it for shorter runs or runs that I wouldn't demand better quality with- especially at the price I paid.

4 out of 5 eggsRight Price

Pros: It's ultra cheap. It's cable. Who cares if it's Cat5 with a Cat6 label on it?

Cons: It's basically a bit better than cheap Cat5. This Cat6 is missing the plastic cable divider that most Cat6 cables I come across seem to have.

Other Thoughts: It works, its decent, so who cares?

1 out of 5 eggsStay Away!

Pros: Makes you feel good about the price before you realize what you didn't buy.

Cons: Any quality Cat6 cable should be 23 AWG not 26 AWG. Even Cat5 cable should be 24 AWG. What do you think you're buying here? Spend the money for a real Cat6 cable and save yourself the headaches.

Other Thoughts: Read the Spec's and do your homework first. Don't bite on price or you will pay dearly.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

For basic home use 26awg and 23awg cables do not show significant difference. The difference will be noticed when running cables on a server environment.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor quality

Pros: Cheap cat 6

Cons: Poorly made cable only a few copper strands in each wire, useless for POE applications. Only half the runs we made with this cable worked and we had 3 boxes!!! Buyer beware

5 out of 5 eggsJust an FYI

Pros: @Fedders,
This is NOT Plenum cable so it is not supposed to be rated for fire safety. For the price you will not find a better deal on standard CAT6 cabling. If you need Plenum cable then buy it but note that it is usually 2-3 times the cost of standard CAT6.

Cons: Ignorant reviewers tainting an otherwise wonderful product by screwing up it's review rating.

Other Thoughts: I have that stupid nugget in a biscuit song stuck in my head...AARGH!

1 out of 5 eggsBEWARE - Not for use in-wall

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Of dubious quality, fire risk if used in-wall.

Other Thoughts: Product does not say it is specified for in-wall use. For residential, you need at minimum a CM rating, although CMR is more common. If you don't plan on running in-wall, you are OK from a fire safety standpoint.

Also, be aware that most of the import wire does not actually pass the TIA/EIA performance standards for Cat. 6. It may "work" for you, but just be forewarned.
