2 out of 5 eggsPoor quality

Pros: Cheap

Cons: This product works sometimes. The cable is extremely light. I used it to do a 2 cable run of about 200 foot and only one of the lines worked. I had to run another line of the same cable to get done what I needed, so I have about 200' of worthless cable. Not worth saving $10!!!

1 out of 5 eggsMy First and Last Box

Pros: Price, Deal of Day, Couldn't Pass up a bargain.

Cons: Bought two boxes, just spent an hour in the attic making two 125 feet pulls, wasted several dollars in ends, won't link, won't pass test with fluke network tester. Initially had two bad cables. After replacing each end twice I finally got a link on one cable. After 5 ends on each end of 2nd cable, pulled a new cable in, not Rosewill brand, crimped ends on and it worked. Meter length test on 125 feet would show 4 -7 feet. Either it didn't like my connectors or something, cable does NOT work for my. I have bought various brands thru the years and this is the first time I have ever had issues. Won't be buying any more of this at any price!

Other Thoughts: Used in commercial environment and buy good ends, have klein crimpers, fluke test equipment. I don't like having to redo work. I bought two boxes and the pulls were the first cable used from each box. May have been produced in same run however had issues with each box.

5 out of 5 eggsGauge is fine people

Pros: Low price

Cons: None. It's cable, it either works or not.

Other Thoughts: Gauge only matters for longer runs, as thicker wire provides less resistance along the wire. The performance increase comes from the twists themselves, hence.. "twisted pair", the cable can transmit at greater MHZ which provides greater signal clarity. greater signal clarity means less signal noise which allows the faster speeds. This wire is just fine for most general applications, and great for home use. I dont even need wire at the moment but I am buying one of these. At this price it is a steal.

5 out of 5 eggsBroken feed tubes? read up

Pros: Cheap Cat6

Cons: Cheap cat6

Other Thoughts: For anyone complaining of broken feed tubes, obviously you havnt worked with structured cabling much, i worked for a small business and we would commonly order in cat5/6, speaker, etc in contractor boxes (these boxes) and the only time the feed tubes were SURE to come unbroken is if we ordered a pallet, about 75% of the time the feed tubes will break when shipped my standard means, you tape it up and deal with it, it is by no means a quality issue with the cable itself, its just an unfortunate side effect of standard shipping methods used for 1000' of heavy copper cable

2 out of 5 eggsOK wire

Pros: Cat6

Cons: Feed tube broken

Other Thoughts: Follow-up to my earlier review. No action from NewEgg on the broken feed tube. I ended up using duct tape to repair the situation, less hassle than dealing with a return. Given my experience and the other reviews I am reading about this cable, I would probably not buy it again.

3 out of 5 eggsDamaged feed tube

Pros: The price and cable construction is good.

Cons: The cable arrived with a broken feed tube.

It is now under RMA.

Other Thoughts: The cable was not shipped in an outer box.

The feed tube and box seams were not taped in lieu of an outer shipping box.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, when it works

Pros: CAT6, better speeds over long runs. Great price on sale from NewEgg.

Cons: Spool arrived with a damaged feeder tube (makes sure the cable feeds from the box without tangling). Apparently damaged in shipment, item was shipped with no outer box.

Other Thoughts: Contacted NewEgg support to see if they can just send me a replacement tube instead of returning the whole spool of cable (it's pretty heavy). Still waiting to hear back from them after 10 days, will update review when I've heard back.

2 out of 5 eggs26AWG????

Pros: Price

Cons: 26AWG might not actually meet cat6 specs.

Other Thoughts: Like most earlier twisted-pair cable, Category 6 cable contains four twisted wire pairs. Attenuation, near end crosstalk (NEXT), and PSNEXT (power sum NEXT) in Cat 6 cable and connectors are all significantly lower than Cat 5 or Cat 5e, which uses 24 AWG wire. The increase in performance with Cat 6 comes mainly from increased (22 AWG) wire size.[note 1][citation needed]
