Cons: It didn't work for me. I'm suspecting that the reason may be that Linux expects USB devices to be available with USB 2.0 device metadata, but I don't really know. Anyway, this device apparently did provide some connectivity, but Linux couldn't recognize that the connected device was a scanner. I'm suspecting that it's because this device only supports USB 1.x. USB 2.0 conectivity over ethernet cabling is provided by other devices now on the market, but for around 5x the price of this device. Sigh. Did you find this review helpful? Pros: Great idea.

Cons: It didn't work for me. I'm suspecting that the reason may be that Linux expects USB devices to be available with USB 2.0 device metadata, but I don't really know.
