The CyberPower 880 surge suppressor is a Computer/Audio/Video Grade unit and provides powerful surge suppression with 2800 Joules of protection. It is equipped with an RJ11 port that protects phone/fax/modem/DSL equipment as well as a gold-plated RG6 coax port that is perfect for your cable modem, cable TV lines, and DSS equipment. Electro-magnetic and radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI) shielding will rid your equipment from any harmful EMI/RFI interferences. Metal oxide varistor (MOV) technology ensures the protection of all connected electronics and the surge suppressor itself.

Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) MOV technology allows normal current to pass through the device, while diverting any surge/spikes through the ground circuit. This safely protects all connected electronics along with the surge suppressor itself.
Built-In Automatic Shutdown In the event that the surge/spike exceeds the unit's ability to suppress the signal, the CyberPower 880 surge suppressor will safely shut itself down to protect all connected electronics.
Transformer-spaced Outlets Widely-spaced outlets allow you to conveniently add large transformer-based plugs without compromising the utility of other outlets.
EMI/RFI Shielding The CyberPower 880 surge suppressor provides shielding against electromagnetic interference and radio frequency signals. Most commonly, this is used to prevent line noise ("humming") that occurs over telephone lines and stereo electronics.
Child-safe Outlets Outlets on the surge suppressor that are not used can be "closed off," so accidental electrical charging of objects cannot occur.
Keyhole Mounting Slots Convenient mounting slots are located on the back on the surge suppressor.

It served it's purpose and had no problems but as far as I know never had a spike surge or strike that it had to protect against. Where I live we have power outages and power surges constantly! I have my 360, 42" Plasma, DVD Player, satellite receiver & surround sound all connected it and I have yet to have any problems with it in the 9 months I have owned it. Cons: As others have stated.....it tends to be extremely difficult to plug and unplug things. I thought I was gonna break it trying to plug things into it.....but you just gotta use a little more force then normal. This is the only reason I gave it 4 eggs. Did you find this review helpful?
