4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: The cables look great in my case.

Cons: I should have measured first, because 18 inch cables don't leave a lot of wiggle room for me to route them better.

The clamps do seem a little cheap, but I ordered 5 of them and I don't usually replace equipment unless its time to upgrade, so not really a problem for me.

Other Thoughts: Not all sata cables will last a long amount of time if you are constantly unplugging them and re connecting them. Set it up right the first time and let it be!!!

1 out of 5 eggsTwo Cables Failed after 18 months

Pros: Pretty color. Low price. Latches are secure. Worked fine for ~18 months.

Cons: After ~18 months, I was unable to burn DVD without getting a failure. The problem occurred with *both* my DVD burners (one Blue Ray one Lightscribe DVD). Since I don't use them much, the cables probably didn't fail at the same time.

Other Thoughts: I was having problems burning DVD with *both* my DVD drives, so it seemed like it must be a software problem with Windows or hardware with my motherboard.

Booted to Linux to get better diagnostics, which pointed to occasional "Drive Ready" problems. Swapped cables and motherboard SATA ports between the drives which didn't seem to help. Finally had the bright idea that *both* cables might be bad (because it really looked like a cable problem). Swapping the cables out fixed it!

Staring at the cables, they look pretty well put together. My guess is that connector itself failed somehow. Perhaps the springs lost their springiness or something.

I should probably give these two stars since they're undoubtedly better than other cables out there, but I really don't have much tolerance for bad cables!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a Cable

Pros: It works and looks cool. Glows if you have lights in your case.

Cons: I guess it would be sweet if the cable itself had LED's in it. Not really a con though.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy more if I needed some.

5 out of 5 eggsWORKS AT 3 Gbps

Pros: Color makes them easy to follow with multiple drives. Latch holds & unlocks easy when needed.

Cons: Not tested at 6Gbps.

Other Thoughts: I'm suspicious of the claimed top performance due to their OK18ARS11 round shielded cables that were plagued with problems.
I'll lower my rating if they do not perform to spec with my future 6Gbps SSD drive.

5 out of 5 eggsNice looking in my case & functional

Pros: Lights up nicely with blue LEDs in my clear-sided case. Length is nice, just right as my case is hinged so i can lay the motherboard flat but only if the cables are long enough. Clips hold tight, but do come off when needed without a needing excessive force. Looks way better than plain red cables that came with my motherboard.

Cons: None I can think of!

Other Thoughts: All my drives are 3mbs now, so i can't vouch for 6mbs but it's nice I won't have to buy new cables when I upgrade to faster drives.
