1 out of 5 eggsWork sporadically at best

Pros: None - work sporadically at best

Cons: Poor connection

Other Thoughts: These cables work sporadically at best. On a new build, I connected one of these cables to the SSD and one to the optical drive. On first boot, the SSD was not recognized, but the optical drive was. It took me a while to consider that the cable might be the problem, so after a lot of useless effort to resolve, I tried the cable that I knew worked with the SSD, and it worked.. I moved this cable to a different sata port, and then it didn’t work. I finally decided to use the sata cables that came with the motherboard, and had no problems whatsoever.

Motherboard: Asus z97-Pro
SSD: Samsung EVO 1TB

2 out of 5 eggsDegraded RAID

Pros: Looks good, sleek design. I was hoping to use these in my custom designed case, but read below.

Cons: too long to work with RAID

Other Thoughts: I replaced stock SATA cables with these and on the first boot I had a drive that was not detected. After troubleshooting and replacing the cable, I restarted to find that another drive had an "unknown error". Thinking my array was done, I swapped back to the Asus cables. On booth

5 out of 5 eggsWOW

Pros: These cables are very high quality, I bought three different types of cables and these will just make you swap out cheaper quality cables.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: These are definitely worth it for the money, I bought there since I just bought I PCIe expansion card with 8 SATA III ports, these here will route just fine using a Rosewill Blackhawk Full Tower, whereas other cables I bought wouldnt route from the back or front, they were too short.

I happy these are very nice looking and look so high quality. After a month in use I'm very pleased highly recommend these.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: It lets the drive thingy talk to the motherboard thingy
Round cables are easier to route through a case
Extra length for those spacious cases or if you really want to hide the cables

Cons: Um . . . wasn't free?

Other Thoughts: Seriously, no problems at all. Not too stiff, doesn't come unplugged. I wish all motherboards came with cables like these.

4 out of 5 eggsPlenty of length

Pros: Extra length, makes routing easy. So does the fact that this cable is round, not flat.

Cons: These aren't supplied with new motherboards ;)

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cables

Pros: Easy to fit around corners and difficult locations in my case. Very sturdy, almost unbreakable.

Cons: None except price; but thats ok.

Other Thoughts: This cable is 100% better than that round blue cable also sold on this site; that cable broke before I completed the install!
