Biostar CABLE2HDMI VGA to HDMI Bridge w/ 6ft HDMI Cable

Pros: The product is awesome, I was able to hook up my daughter's desktop to her flat screen tv for her with out one problem, now she has a 46" LED HD computer monitor.

Pros: Hooked thisuptomy laptop to a 26" tv hdmi port, worked flawless in all video screen sizes except (1366x768), but it says on package it dont support it so all is excellent here, also the picture compared to the laptop is stunning and amazing, brings a new dimension to computing, wish I`d bought this years ago.

Cons: blinks out for a second or two every once in a while, but i believe a better hdmi cable will solve this problem, for right now it not a big problem.

Other Thoughts: personally iwould have liked the power connector to be on a power pack instead of a usb connector, but no biggie.

I bought this because it was cheaper than the rosewill model and this also had a hdmi cable, getting the bang for th buck.

Pros: As soon as I hooked everything up the blue light on the converter unit didn't come on. So I thought sure enough the thing doesn't work. Turns out I had the vga cable on backwards so that's something to look into if it doesn't light up right away for you. And it was easy for me to set the settings on my lap top to show up on my wide screen tv and sounds great on my surround sound. I'd recommend this if you want something cheap and easy. The laptop I use is a Dell Inspiron.

Pros: The product does work. I think i was so excited that I recieved a product that would let me connect my laptop to my lcd HDTV that I did not take the time to really understand the other reviews.

Other Thoughts: The instructions for the Cable 2 HDMI unit and the visual explanation for connecting the Cable 2 HDMI unit on the packaging and in the manual is not clear. BioStar Tech. support emailed me the following advice:

Make sure the end with the VGA, audio, and USB power is connected to the Cable 2 HDMI unit, not the computer/laptop.

Cons: what can i say newegg. the product does not work. I connected the cables to my laptop computer to the vga to hdmi bridge, then connected the vga to hdmi bridge to the hdmi cord and to the lcd monitor. i tried every resolution screen size, called my lcd manufacturer to verify that my tv had the correct firmware version. this is just a bad product and you need to stop selling it. for heavens sake, the led light didnt even turn on when the vga to hdmi bridge connected to the usb power source!

Pros: It was a pretty black with a pretty blue LED on it. Cables fit snuggly. NewEgg got the product to me in 2 business days. As usual NewEgg rocks!

Cons: Did not work. I tried this product with 3 different HDMI cables, 2 different display devices (TVs), and 2 different workstations (laptop and a desktop). I've waited 6 calender days for a response to tech support email...still waiting. I called the tech support number provided by other NewEgg users (THANK YOU), which took me 3 business days to reach somebody. When I finally got through I woke up Sleepy Joe Useless. Sleepy Joe ensured that I plugged in the cables correctly, the blue light was on, and that I tried every kind of combination possible. Upon hearing yes, I received, "*curseword* I don't know, try returning it." So that's what I'm off to do.

Tech support was nearly impossible to get a hold of (email, phone, carrier pidgeon).
Tech support was useless and rude.
Only reason I owned this matte black paperweight for +1week was due to tech support lack of communication.

Pros: Cheaper than a scan converter.

Cons: The first device didn't work so I thought maybe it was a bad apple so I had it replaced with a second one. That one didn't work either after testing it on two different laptops and desktop computer. The computers were about 2 years old. Tried two different televisions also. One a 3 year old plasma the other a 6 month old LCD. So about 17 bucks in UPS fees and a 9 dollar re-stocking fee, this lesson cost me about 26 bucks.

Pros: It works.

Cons: My computer and TV weren't easy plug and play with this. Tech support was awful. I couldn't get the display to the right settings by just using the normal right click on the desktop and properties way. I have some other graphics driver program on the computer which I had to use. I had to change it to the external monitor and change the resolution both before I hit apply to get this to work properly.

Other Thoughts: The product is good so it gets 5 eggs, but tech support gets 0.

Pros: Great product. Used for flat screen in conference room and works as needed.
