4 out of 5 eggsGreat multifunctionality, but a mess of cables

Pros: Allows for the connection of 2.5" (notebook/laptop) and 3.5" (desktop) hard drives using either the PATA/EIDE interface, or the SATA interface. Self powers the hard drive using either the legacy 4 pin molex connector or the new SATA power connection.-

Cons: Though you get all these great options, it is a mess to manage all the cables and "accessories" that come with it. There are 5 different sections/parts to the device that are just a thorn in the side to pack away into a laptop carrying case. You've got the main device with the USB cable coming out, the AC adapter, the molex/SATA power cable, the SATA cable, and the 2.5" to 3.5"

Other Thoughts: My favorite IDE to USB 2.0 device yet is the Apollo EG-U2N EASYGO USB2.0 to IDE Adapter due to its simplicity. It had a Power light and an HDD activity light, a power switch, a 3.5 ft. USB cable and most of all, the primary connector was the 3.5" connector (which 9/10ths of my hard drives are of the 3.5" size) with a 2.5" adapter. This device simply acts "dead" to me when it comes to knowing what is happening.
