Easily clone your hard drive with the DriveWire adapter from Apricorn. This USB adapter works with 2.5" and 3.5" PATA/SATA drives. Pros: Have had this for a week but have already imaged a couple dozen drives. Also use to wipe old drives before sending the PCs for donation. Operation is FLAWLESS. Super sweet bonus is that the included EZ GIG II software is a re-branded version of Acronis TrueImage.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Wish it came with a carrying case, or at least in a cardboard box instead of the blister pak.

Pros: Price, Performance, Free cloning software. This does connect to 2.5/3.5 PATA & SATA drives. Works flawlessly.

Cons: The power cord connector isn't very long, but when it's on a workbench you want a short cable, so no con.

Other Thoughts: Easily cloned a 2.5 PATA laptop hard drive that contained unrecoverable data onto a new 2.5 PATA drive. If you own a computer shop or repair laptops/desktops buy a few of these, they are incredible and highly recommended.

Pros: The hardware hooked up and was recognized fine. It allows me to access old drives

Cons: The software completely failed to clone my laptop hard drive onto my new, larger hdd.

Other Thoughts: Save your money and buy the Rosewill adapter instead and find a freeware cloning progam at Download.com. As always Newegg rocks. They have given me great service for over 5 years!

Pros: Works exactly as described; no issues at all with this unit. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a device like this. I did not use the included software so I can't comment on that.

Cons: Insanely short power cord; what on earth were they thinking! Luckily it just uses a standard cord that works with any standard power supply or monitor. I had extras laying around so I wasn't too bothered by this.

Pros: Works well for backup and restore of hard drives from image files, as well as a quick way to connect to a hard drive without opening up the case. Make sure your USB port is 2.0, and power up the drive before plugging into the computer.
