5 out of 5 eggsGREAT PRODUCT!

Pros: It powers 2.5 inches Hard Drives and Solid State Drives without any external to these devices.
Its very portable.
Its USB 3.0 compliant so data transfers speedier than the USB 2.0 version also made by Apricorn.

Cons: It won't power Hard Drives that are 3.5 inches in size (external power will be required for the "SATA Wire 3.0" to function properly). I have not tested it on a 3.5 inch SSD so I can't say as yet if it will power it.

Other Thoughts: A 'must have device' for a "do-it-yourselfer." This product does what it states on the package. I might get a second to keep as backup. Recommended!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: SIMPLE! Works great, no fuss.

Cons: None now that they have come out with the 3.0 version.

Other Thoughts: Got the 2.0 version bundled with a Crucial SSD. Worked so well, my IT guy decided to buy one just to keep in his bag. Way, WAY better than Ghost for cloning drives. Used this on several different computers (all Win7 based) from desktops, to laptops, HDD & SDD. It's just simple and easy to use.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked perfectly

Pros: Worked perfectly. It is cheap for the ease it provides. Had been sitting on a new SSD for months, waiting to find the time to image my current drive and replace with the SSD. Had considered the various free options, decided this would make it easy and was designed for the purpose. USB 3.0 blazingly fast compared to other options. No brainer.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: This is my first newegg review. I can't believe people are reviewing this product and saying it didn't work or that it messed up their original hard drive while making the clone. Huh? Don't be silly.

5 out of 5 eggsIt Worked

Pros: Low Cost
Actually Works
Easy to Use

Cons: No option for external AC Adapter to use it with a 3.5" drive-only suitable for drives that can be powered by USB.

Other Thoughts: I was upgrading from a Kingston Hyper X 128GB SSD to a Vertex 4 256GB SSD. Did not have time for a clean install. I tried Acronis True Image (which has always worked in the past) and Norton Ghost. Neither worked, using a couple of different external SATA to USB 3 devices. Saw this on special and took a leap. Worked the first time and was so easy anyone could do it. Clone worked perfectly except for Quick Books which likes to bury hidden encrypted authorization files just to make things more difficult. Clearing that up took far more time and effort than the clone. New drive is a bit faster even without a clean install.
Recommended.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Make sure you defrag your hard drive before you start the cloning process.

Cons: slow, will take over an hour to copy a small capacity hd.

Other Thoughts: If replacing hd with ssd make sure the capacity of the ssd is adequate.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Instantly picks up drive as if it were a external USB Hard Drive.

Cons: Software will not copy Mac Hard Drives that are partitioned with boot camp installed. So you can't clone a exact copy of your Mac/bootcamp partition all in one go.

2 out of 5 eggsOnly good for SSD

Pros: Nice adapter when needed
USB 3.0

Cons: Software only works if using the adapter with it
Software only works half the time and when it did still not good results
See other thoughts

Other Thoughts: Not really a big con because it's kinda common knowledge that a USB port can't power a mechanical drive, but still adapter only works with SSD drives even if i provide power to a mechanical drive, the software is a cut down version of Apricorn full suite (which i have and works well) is spotty at best it was a 50/50 toss up if it worked even when it did the new drive would work slowly and poorly and or crash. Waste of time best to do a clean fresh install on a new drive. Overall Don't buy this just do a fresh install on your new ssd trust me best way of doing it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks very well

Pros: Worked right out of the package like it should

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Anyone having a problem with this on USB 3.0 better check your connectors. I just built a pc with ASUS Sabertooth mb and it works great.

1 out of 5 eggsNot really useful

Pros: It is bootable, allow you to transfer files to another hard drive. Gave me an excuse to move my hdd from single to raid?

Cons: Dont use this on your main boot drive as it will destory the boot parition and render your hard drive unbootable. i was lucky as i did a test run on a spare hard drive or I would have been really annoyed. Again beware as it can or will destory your boot drive and you will need to reinstall the OS again.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this at all, maybe as a sata to usb connector but the software is completely useless, No point in cloneing your drive if it destory both the clone and main drive.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Clone job on a desktop PC.

Pros: USB 3.0 connector and software work great. Cloned the old SSD 64GB and then removed it and installed the new one 256 GB Samsung. My machine booted right back up loaded the new SSD and booted full into windows.

Cons: After cloning SSD you have a strange set-up on your My Computer screen. It has an extra drive component. Don't worry about it simply power down your computer and change out the cloned drive for the old drive and you are ready to go. I did not have to re-register windows after the cloning, which was great.
