2 out of 5 eggsJust okay

Pros: I bought this item just so I can charge my gadgets through the usb port, somehow from the usb port they are charging fine. except for the other port.

Cons: I am having a problem with the other usb port, port 1 is doing good, it can charge my iphone, ipod and digicam, port 2 is also charging except that whenever I tried using that port I am encountering a weird (burning) smell, I got scared and I don't even want to use it anymore.

Other Thoughts: I would like to return the product but I threw away the packaging that comes with it so yeah too bad..

4 out of 5 eggsGood Surge Protector LIKE USB CHARGING

Pros: Well known brand name
2 USB POWER PORTS IN ADDITION TO THE 6 REGULAR PLUGS

Cons: I honestly do not believe there is such a thing as a "perfect" surge protector for my needs ... because my needs change all the time.
- Plugs are turned (see image - could be a pro or a con - depends)
- The USB ports are a little bit loose and can have the usb charging cord slip out easily

Other Thoughts: It was a newegg deal. Good deal for good product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great! Love the USB!

Pros: Plenty of outlets
USB ports
Mounts easily and securely
indicates if outlet is grounded properly

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: For me, this works great for my HTC phone and for mp3 players and general use.

I do not connect and disconnect wall outlets a lot, so i have had no issues with the mounting screw being too loose. Mine is fine.

I would suggest that if you are having a problem with the connection to the wall socket being loose, simply take the original wall screw to a hardware store and get one the same length as the replacement screw.
no complaints from me though

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't live up to the specs

Pros: Bought it on sale

Cons: Claims to be 800mA per USB, but will not charge my BB Torch. My BB USB charger is 750mA and works, so the actual output on this is much lower than advertised. The main purpose of buying this to use the USB outlets for charging my phone and opening up the surrounding plugs. That won't work, so now I have this bulking think with additional bulky chargers sticking out of it. Had high hopes, but doesn't live up to its own hype.

4 out of 5 eggsSeems OK but needs some math checking

Pros: Nice exterior design; convenient separation of the 6 AC outlets; 5V USB power at a price not much more than a regular 120V surge protector.

Cons: Belkin bills this as "2 USB Ports (1.6A) offer one-source charging for USB-enabled devices", but the package fine print states "Powered USB Output: 5V/750 mA each port". As others noted, even with a snug install (the center screw is torqued at what I consider max), there's more play with unit than one would like. That's probably due to the undersized plastic prong that goes to the lower wall outlet.

Other Thoughts: Forgiving Belkin for the missing 100 mA, even with the 750 mA/USB, the USB supply was able to charge my HP Touchpad (HP charger is 2000 mA) from a battery charge of 86%->100% - the TouchPad complained about an incorrect cablke or charger in an on screen warning message, though.

If you want the USB ports (and the "Belkin" logo) aiming up, your wall outlet should have the ground socket at the bottom. I neded to reverse my "gound-at-the-top" outlet as it's not easy to find the USB outlets aiming down and close to the floor.

As with any surge protector... who knows if it will work when you really need it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Absolutely love them, purchased two, the USB ports work for any devices I have plugged into them, although I have had no opportunity to test its surge protection capabilities, they were easily attached to the wall and do not move around at all.

Cons: I have had no trouble with them, the price is a bit high though at $25

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: * 6 outlets
* 2 USB ports
* solid, quality plastic build
* great price (< $15)

Cons: * loose mount (at least on my electrical outlet; see other thoughts below)
* received scratched (even in new packaging)

Other Thoughts: I ordered three of these surge protectors. To use these, you have to remove the middle screw from your wall outlet face (while leaving the faceplate on), and then screw in the screw that comes with the surge protector. The surge protector plugs into the top plug, while there is a plastic piece that sticks into where the bottom grounding pin would be. This is what contributes to the loose mount on my outlet, though it will probably differ for yours.

Although mine came in brand new packaging, I opened to find a scratched surge protector. This is purely aesthetic though, as it still functions as I expect. It's just a bit disappointing to have a white surge protector get scratched and have a black mark on it.

But it makes you wonder how that got out of QC, and what else they might've missed.

4 out of 5 eggsBelkin Outlet

Pros: Pretty nice surge protector. No issues with i so far.

Cons: I have become a stickler on price these days. So the price is my only issues. I know it has the USB chargers though.

Other Thoughts: I started using Newegg for electronics, now I am looking at other uses since they have more choices and quality sellers. I love the convenience of online shopping and the overall service of Newegg. Keep up the good job.

5 out of 5 eggsWell made - use 2 upper usb chargers to charge vaping batteries

Pros: Got during Black Friday sale for Nine.NinetyNine - excellent deal.

The feature to detect whether your plugs are grounded or not is great.

Using the 2 usb ports to recharge vaping batteries faster than plugged into usb ports on computer and to reclaim the plugs used previously by recharging a battery.

Its a win win deal.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Protects expensive items from surges that kill them.
