More than a simple adaptor

Pros: High quality piece of plastic with some engineering behind it. I expected a flat piece of cheap plastic and received a fully formed high quality plastic with aerodynamic design.

Cons: The hardware supplied (screws) seemed to be for only one fan to fan opening direction and not both directions. No installation instructions either. Not sure someone would install a 120mm fan to go through an 80mm hole, but the hardware supplied seemed to be for that scenario.

Pros: Cheap
Good way to add a big quiet fan in a small location (space allowing)

Cons: Didn't fit my application perfectly, but that's no fault of this item

Other Thoughts: I should have taken better measurements, as this adapter was about 2mm too big for me to mount it in my mid-level tower and still fit the side cover. I was able to get it to work by leaving out two case mounting screws and leaving it a bit cockeyed. It still flows more air than my previous zip-tie mounting method. I'm satisfied with the adapter.

Pros: Does what it's designed to. It replaces my 80mm case fan with a 120mm fan.

Other Thoughts: I wish newegg sold the clear version of this product. Works well if you have blue case fans.
