4 out of 5 eggsIt works!

Pros: It preforms it's job flawlessly and leaves little to be desired.

Cons: It's somewhat unwieldy as it sticks out the side of your computer, and is somewhat loose. However that is to be expected as it is attached via USB.

Other Thoughts: It has the weird effect of amplifying sound playing through it. It would be very wise to keep the volume very low as it get very loud otherwise, or even damage audio equipment.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: No issues and no need for admin rights on a locked down work computer.
The computer had messed up drivers for the sound card and IT could not seem to get it fixed.
I have to do training on the computer and needed to hear some of it...

Cons: None in an office environment.

4 out of 5 eggsNice value

Pros: Plug in, plug the audio & mic jacks in, done. No installation.

Cons: Nothing except the green blinking light.

Other Thoughts: I use my turtle beach headset with this on my lenovo y570 (default jacks produce crackling noise due to poor emi shielding).
If it wasn't for the blinking light, I would definitely have given a 5 rating.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop jack replacement

Pros: Delivers beautiful, clear sound through your favorite headphones perfectly. A no-brainer product as well, so my technology ignorant family can use the adapter without bothering me every second of the day if they need to use it.

Cons: Set your sound volume up first! Plugging this thing in out of the box with full volume up will become a rather painful lesson. I recommend turning the volume on your computer the whole ways down before plugging them in, then slowly turning the volume up while playing some music until you reach a comfortable volume.

Other Thoughts: Using this as a quick fix replacement for the faulty jacks on my ASUS EEE PC netbook. Used a pair of 2XL ShakeDowns to test. Did not test mic jack functionality.

5 out of 5 eggsLOUD

Pros: Huge volume increase compared to my headphone jack

Cons: Sound quality harsher?

Other Thoughts: I use my PC's headphone jack to output to an external amp/speakers, and my jack is on the side. I was sick of seeing the wires sticking out of it. Plugged this into the back of the PC, and then plugged in my speaker cord. Turned the amp back on ... and the volume was at least double. I used to have amp at half volume ... and by using this, it is now quarter volume. I am guessing my PC's headphone jack has a governor to prevent hearing loss, and this bypasses it?

5 out of 5 eggsNeat and Complete

Pros: Does the job and didn't cost me a fortune.

Cons: None so far... Well okay, it doesn't cook or clean and it's not all that sexy.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these, one for my game crazy son and one for my rock & roll playing daughter so they could use their headsets for... Umm... I don't know what they are doing really but these little adapters get plugged in there, That much I can see.

Neither one has come back to complain that they don't work after "washing in hot"

5 out of 5 eggsIt works, does what it should do

Pros: Do what it should do, my onboard snd card (M3a97pro Mobo) was having issues, so I got this for my creative T40 speakers, works great, can't tell a difference from onboard and usb.....Games and music play just fine

Cons: no cons

Other Thoughts: Was cheap and fit the bill
