Pros: Works with a Macbook Air if you need a microphone jack... Crystal audio clarity... Not rediculously expensive...
Cons: BEWARE that it will not fit in the Macbook Air USB Slot!!! You need a USB hub or extender cable for it to fit without breaking the flip-down compartment!!! So just take that into consideration if you're planning on this use... Also it's a bit of a pain to get it to work with MacOSX because you have to go into the sounds settings and activate it and change the sound levels and things...

Pros: Can replace as broken jack without going inside a machine.
Cons: Sound quality on the output is far inferior to motherboard based sound, not just a little worse. I, unlike any other reviewers I read, needed the input as well, only about once a month. I could never have the input and output plugged in at the same time without a horrendous buzz. Individually they worked ok, but having to pull one to use the other just wont work.
Other Thoughts: It seems to be limited to basic sound output for a broken laptop jack.

Pros: Works
Cons: Takes up a USB slot?
Other Thoughts: I was using a Logitech speaker system with some Skull Candy ear buds, and they shocked by ear and the mobo, killing the audio jack's ability to play the right speaker... I don't know whether to blame the mobo, the speakers, or the earbuds, but this fixed it.
