Solved a motherboard problem

Pros: Plugged in and it worked solving problems with the microphone input on the motherboard. I also run the speakers through it and they work perfectly. No drivers were required.

Cons: It's a bit fat and blocks the adjacent USB socket so I use a USB cable extension to clear that socket. Actually I believe USB sockets are just located too close together as a matter of practice.

Pros: Installed easily and activated my microphone which would not function when plugged directly into the motherboard.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Solves a driver problem with the on board sound.

Sounds good but has problems

Pros: Cheap Cheap Cheap.
Sound is clear I use it because I have a motherboard without on-board sound. I have a pci slot controller but I need the space for case cooling. I use this when ever I need to use my monitor speakers or drag computer into living room for movie night. Works perfectly for that. Plug and plays with the best of them! When it is plugged in there is an instant turn on; it does not have to sit there for any amount of time.

Cons: Falls apart. The actual casing for the unit breaks off and then you have this flash driver looking thing for a audio controller. I tapped it back together but -1 EGG. Also, The unit is actualy kind of big. A little too thick and wide and so it covers or semi blocks surrounding usb ports -1 EGG. Does not come with any sort of cabling. If something is a dedicated audio controller I would expect it to come with its own sound jack!

Other Thoughts: Newegg got this to me so fast. I ordered two other items with free 2 day shipping. I payed for slower shipping on this unit but they just included it with other order. I like the way you move NEWEGG ;)
