A simple idea works well

Pros: cheap, simple and easy to install. The sata cable was long enough to reach the sata connectors on my mobo (P6N Sli). Did it's job straight away. If you buy an external HD with USB or esata connections on the back, buying this device enables you to use the much faster esata connection if your motherboard doesn't have esata connectors built in.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This device is for connecting ONE external sata drive not 2, 3 or 4 in a box unless the box has the port multiplier built in.

For example if you buy a 4 bay external enclosure (at the cheaper end of the market) you will need a port multiplier ($50) in one of your PCI slots

Pros: Great price. Excellent product. Easy installation especially for those that aren't too tech savvy.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm getting 68 Mega Bytes/s. A lot better the USB & Firewire. Will recommend to anyone with E-Sata connection
