5 out of 5 eggsStretch

Pros: Plugged in and it worked just as planned

Cons: Like most of us guys, 14 inches ain't as long as we think.
No fault of Newegg or the cable company..

Other Thoughts: I should'a got a 16 inch.. LOL

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The sata and attached power plug work great together

Cons: the other end of power cable, not so good. The pins inside want to push out, when connecting to power supply cable, due to poor quality.

Other Thoughts: Decent product for the money. Just make sure to push each wire into the plug to make sure they are seated properly when installing.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: looks pretty, good snug fit in the sata connectors, decent cable length.

Cons: no worky..... DOA, I thought I had a bad drive. Luckily I was smart enough to test the drive with another cable and it worked through that. No power through the power cable.

It's not worth shipping anywhere to collect on warranty or or RMA, I went to the local shop and got a molex to sata power connector and used some sata cable laying around to get the new drive going.

Other Thoughts: frustrating; I am big fan of the combination cables like this as it significantly reduces the chances of breaking the stupid L-shaped plastic thing (I have broken 3 in my life).

I'm glad I looked into the cable, I was about to RMA my brand new WD 2TB drive

4 out of 5 eggsConverter Cable

Pros: Power and data in one connector, plugs in securely to the hard drive or optical drive.

Cons: A wire backed out of the molex connector the first time I plugged it to the power supply. Pushed it back in till it snapped and then it connected fine. Poor quality control. Cheaply made.

Other Thoughts: Does the job well once correctly installed, converts molex power to SATA power.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your money

Pros: The hard drive connector fit into the hard drive.

Cons: The Molex connector on this cable is manufactured poorly. It does not fit tightly to the connector on my power supply. I had to tape it together to keep it from just falling apart.

The SATA connector was too fat to fit into the motherboard connection housing. I had to remove the housing from the SATA port on the motherboard for this cable to work.

Other Thoughts: Other SATA cables and Molex connectors fit this same computer just fine. SATA and Molex connectors just shouldn't have to be this dificult.

Manufacturer Response:

Pros: Works, long enough, protection on the power wires.

Cons: None, just wish the hard drive i ordered this for actually worked. Oh well, I'll just keep it as a spare.
