Let me say, i cant tell the difference from the vga port to this converter. No lag, no blur. If you get a cheap adapter (DVI-HDMI) it will display 1080p no problem (used on a 42") I am going to buy another on of these Cons: Unit gets very hot, i took it out of its case so it can vent i dont watch many movies but their might be a very slight quality loss on full screen Other Thoughts: 2008 model toshiba laptop with a 24" asus led display 64 bit win 7 When you use this unit it turns off your computers sound card so it can use its. To fix this in windows 7, right click the volume control, and choose playback devices, then chose the speakers that dont say 3-c media USB audio, right click, set as default device 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. I have this going into my usb hub with a bunch of other stuff and it has no lag and movies look good. Normal use of the computer is the same quality as the onboard vga. Displayed well, but killed the sound on the computer. Tried to switch back to extended mode, stopped working at all. Went to Displaylink site, downloaded recent driver. Istalled well. No joy. I was nervous since this was a cheaper product that it would be flaky or come with chinese drivers or something. Everything has been solid and the drivers installed without an issue on XP-32. Obviously this isnt for high-end gaming or something, but for desktop work this adapter is great. Nice resolution capability, integrates with Windows properly so control panel tools work just like a normal card. Cons: None so far. Other Thoughts: HDMI would be nice since it supports 1080p and audio it would be a nice cheap media alternative. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you?
