5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good Cable. Sturdy. Much better than wireless.

Cons: Could have been a little whiter? I covered it up with white vinyl tape to match the baseboard I ran it over.

Other Thoughts: Very Long. I tripped over it several times.

4 out of 5 eggsLong cable, cheap, does its job

Pros: It was dirt cheap as far as network cables I've seen go. I usually order from an outfit which both manufactures and wholesale distributes to the public. Even their price on a 100ft cat6 cable was 2x the price of this cable. $20 bucks, arrived in 3 days from Memphis, TN. Supposedly support gigabit speed, although I do not have a gigabit router to go hand-in-hand with my Rosewill 5-port gigabit switch. This run will be replacing an old cat5 run which is years old and has some staple punctures in. No more staples this time around.

Cons: Snagless boot is incredible stiff. It can take quite a bit if squeezing force to squeeze the catch tight enough with the boot in to remove it from wherever its plugged into. Also, cables with snagless boots I have bought in the past tend to slide down, exposing the RJ-45 plug. Whether or not this cable does so remains to be seen, but just as with the rest of the boot, is extremely resistant to do anything. This is the only I can think of so early on in my owning it that made me want to subtract an egg.

Other Thoughts: I made a rookie mistake in purchasing this cat6 cable. I have a Linksys WRT54G2 wireless router. After verifying the continuity of the line with a cable tester I bought from Newegg not too long ago, I ran the line from my laptop directly to my wireless router to verify it could send and receive signal. I wasn't getting any connection though, which was strange. I have an unmanaged gigabit 5-port Rosewill switch as well that connects to the router, and the cable worked though it.

Called Linksys and verified my theory...the router isn't compatible with cat6 cable. Oh well, it works successfully though the other switch. You live and learn. Research goes a long way.

Pros: Have used 3 of these cables for game consoles, Roku and computer hookup. No problems, no lost data. Works great for the price. Highly recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Long Cable

Pros: Cable is made of white vinyl outer coating, great length at a good price, and it's a CAT6 cable to boot.

Cons: Uses the older clips with the cover on the ends, when being put through tight spaces they must be taped or covered by something else if you don't want to ruin the clip. A newer clip design that eliminates this would've been nice, but a minor negative.

Other Thoughts: For this price, you really won't find another 100FT CAT6 cable unless you're buying huge spools of CAT6 and putting your own ends on.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cable

Pros: I bought two of these cables very cheaply, and cut them and crimped my own ends on them. Much cheaper than buying a 1000 foot box of cable when I really only needed 150 feet or so.

I installed the cables as a gigabit backhaul between my upstairs and my basement, so far it's performing flawlessly. I also installed this cable from the basement switch to my xbmc media center, and have had no problems streaming movies over the network.

So far I've gotten 960Mbps out of this cable without any increase in network latency above 1ms. Awesome performance especially at this price.

Cons: Note for anyone planning on cutting the ends off this and using it for making new cables... it's kind of a pain to crimp ends, because the thick "+ sign" shielding in the middle gets in the way. I find the best thing to do is to pull back the plastic covering a bit, and cut the shielding as far back as you can before you try to crimp it, otherwise it will be difficult to shove a connector on to it.

Also the cable fought me while I was trying to crimp it. But a lot of cables do that.
